Chapter 7

BEA'S POV

The team was having dinner.

After our loss to FEU, it was so hard to enjoy their company. I knew to myself that I could have done so much more and I could have contributed more points to the team, but I didn't.

"This could be my last game.", I said to myself while I ate some of my food.

"Bei!", someone called out my name.

I looked around to see who was trying to call my attention.

"Bei! Over here! Hindi mo ba ako nakikita!"

Oh. It was Jho. She was trying to call my attention kanina pa, but, I really didn't want to deal with her now after everything that has just happened.

I just want to be alone and just think about everything.

"What?", I replied to Jho not making our eyes meet what so ever.

"Bakit parang galit ka?" Jho said back to me.

"Wala."

"Ate Bei, are you okay? Smile naman diyan." a familiar voice was heard.

"Yeah, I am okay Jules. I just want to process everything."

"Don't be sad na Ate Bea. Please. Masaya tayong lahat then ikaw, you are just there. Please be happy na.", Dani said to me as she put her head on my shoulder while rubbing my back to make me feel better.

Hay, mga babies talaga ng team. I can't help them.

"Oh sige. Yan smile na ako." I said while giving them a slight "fake-ish" smile.

"Bei! Come here nga."

Ughh si Jho nanaman tumatawag sa akin. What does she want ba?

"Fine. Fine. Papunta na ako diyan."

I stood up from my seat and went to Jho.

"What? Ano kailangan mo?"

"Bei! I just want you to be happy. Alam mo naman na this is my last game. Then you are going to be acting like this? Best friend kita, ayoko kita makitang ganun."

But you already hurt me, Jho so don't even start with me.

Before I can even reply to Jho, a cold sensation was felt on my shoulder. Just as if someone was behind me, watching.

I looked back to see who it was and...

"Thirdy? What the heck are you doing here?"

I was honestly confused on to why Thirdy was here but then I forgot he had a sister here AND a girlfriend so obviously he would be here.

As our eyes met with Thirdy, I could hear some of my teammates whisper and talk in shock. Since me and Thirdy, who they know are not in good terms are talking.

"Okay na pala kayo ni Thirdy? Hindi mo sinabi sa akin.", Jho said from behind my back.

I didn't reply. Just still with Thirdy in front of me and the rest of the team.

Our parents and coaches were in the other room so they didn't know this was happening.

We both just stood there, not knowing what to say until Jules came in and jumped up to Thirdy's back while Thirdy moved a bit to provide support for Jules.

"Thirdy! I knew na dadating ka! Bakit hindi ka nagtext?" Jules said as she gave a quick kiss to Thirdy's cheek from the back.

I was always used to being a third wheel in Thirdy's relationships. From Billie to now Jules. I honestly didn't mind that they were flirting - right in front of my face.
