Chapter 6

THIRDY'S POV
"And FEU is back in the Finals."

Oh, shocks. Ateneo has been eliminated out of the finals for the first time in six years.

I am not in the arena, at the moment for I had errands to run before the game which caused me to miss the game.

However, I still made it a point to watch the game, anywhere I was.

I had to be there to support my best friend, girlfriend and of course, Dani; my sister.

Seeing them lose their spot in the championship really broke my heart, for I know how much they all worked hard for it and now it's just gone. I needed to make sure that they knew I was very proud of all of them and that they can make bawi next season.

So who to text first? I thought to myself, as I stared at my phone.

Well, I can just text all of them - but I think that the three girls need to feel special; so who to text first?

"Parang ang lalim ng inisip mo diyan, Thirdy ah." One of my former teammates, Von Pessumal said.

"Of course naman, Von. The Lady Eagles just lost their spot in the Finals. Don't you think maapekto si Thirdy?", Laura Lehman, former Ateneo courtside reporter and currently; Von's girlfriend.

"Well, I guess so. His sister just lost, pero rookie pa naman si Dani so I think a lot of time para bumawi, si Dani."

As they conversed about the loss of the Lady Eagles, I just sat their not saying a word; trying to still think who to text first.

"Huy? Thirdy? Wala ka pang imik pagkatapos na nanalo yung FEU. Tapos na yung broadcast oh!." Von said while trying to grab my attention.

I can't just sit here not saying anything. I need to at least say a word.

"Sorry. Hindi ko alam sino itetext ko una. I know that they all  worked so hard, Von,  so since talo sila, parang feeling ko din talo ako."

"Hay nako, Thirdy. Yan naman pala! Wag ka na kasi maghihimutok diyan na walang sinasabi. Me and Laura can help you kaya don't be shy na. Right babe?"

"Yes, of course. We are always here to help. Sino ba yung mga choices mo? Why don't you just text the whole team kung nahihirapan ka?"

"No, I can't. I need to make them feel na special sa akin.", I said in reply as I put down my phone to get my mind off of it.

"Halah! Mayroon ka bang hindi sinasabi sa amin. Sino bang gusto mo mafeel na special sa team?", Von chuckled.

"Spill it, Thirdy."

 Nakalimutan ko nga na they don't know about  Jules or what happened to me and Bea. It was a long time since I have talked to them both about everything in my life, especially my love life.

"Si Bea Ito no?", Von insisted.

"OMG! Are you a thing already with Bea?"

"No." I said to them in reply to all their questions.

As I said this, my phone vibrated to expose a notification from the Team Messenger GC.
Anton had just updated the team about the recent loss of the Lady Eagles.
