It was the day of Finn's party, the guy who invited the whole school to his house. Damien wanted me to join him so I couldn't say no. Plus, our exams are coming soon so this is probably one of the last high school parties.

After taking a warm bath, I wrapped a towel around myself and stepped out of the bathroom. First, I decided to pick the dress for me. Opening my closet, I checked for the outfit suitable for a party.

Most of my clothes were too causal or too formal, nothing in the average range. I huffed before sitting back on my bed and hugging my knee.

Should I skip the party?

I was lost in these thoughts when the door to my room knocked. Thinking it was Dad, I opened the door but jumped in surprise when I found Damien standing in front of my door, a cute smile on his face.

His smile deepened as his eyes raked over my body clad in a towel. Blushing red, I stepped back and let him in.

"Hi." I whispered shyly as I watched him staring at me with his jaw hanging down.

"Hi.. Umm." he gulped, running his fingers through his hair.

"Wh.. What are you doing here?" I asked, looking at the packet in his hands.

"Oh yes. I brought a dress for you." he said and passed me the bag.

"For me?" I questioned and he nodded.

A warm feeling flooded my chest and I opened the packet, bringing out the pink short dress. It was cute and girly, just what I liked. A huge smile etched on my face as I touched the soft material.

"It's pretty." I whispered, stepping closer to him.

"Not more than you." he said and we both passed each other a smile.

He stood forwards and leaned towards me, slowly placing a kiss on my cheek. "I'll wait for you in the living room. You can dress up comfortably." he said after pulling apart.

After he left, I dried my hair and applied some makeup to enhance my features. The dress was a perfect fit, hugging my figure in all the right places and hiding my stomach flabs.

After making a braided bun of my hair with few curls framing my face, I decided to complete my look with black heel boots and my pink shoulder bag.

Once I was ready, I made my way to the living room where Damien was waiting for me. Realizing my presence, he turned his head towards me, his eyes widening in admiration.

"You look stunning." he said, standing up and walking towards me.

He brought his hands to my face and tucked a loose tendril behind my ear. His touch was sweet and gentle but it didn't create any sparks inside me, unlike the touch of someone I knew.

Don't think about him. I scolded myself and passed Damien a smile.

"Ready milady?" he said in British accent and laced his arm with mine, causing me to let out a chuckle.

...

After introducing me to his friends, Damien and I sat down beside them. I was starting to get bored because they were all guys and they were talking about things I didn't understand. So I excused myself, saying I was going to meet Alicia and Sophia.

My eyes looked around, in search of him. I wonder how he was. After his breakup with Chloe, I didn't get any chance to talk to him because of that Mr. Brown thing and the holidays.

It's not like I was expecting him to befriend me after the breakup. I just wanted to know if he was okay or not.

I observed my surroundings to find him but he wasn't in their lounge. Deciding to check their kitchen, I turned around and stopped when I found Alicia leaned against a wall, watching someone silently from a corner.

Following her eyes, I found Adam who was drinking himself to the oblivion.

"What is he doing here?" I asked her because he never attends parties.

"Who knows!" she shrugged and rested her head back on the wall.

"Have you seen Justin?" I asked her.

"Yeah. He was in the lawn." she said and then asked. "Why are you looking for him?"

I gulped, feeling like I have been caught stealing a candy. "Um.. I.. I need to talk to him about our physics assignment." She assessed my face for a moment and then nodded, but I don't think she bought my excuse.

After leaving Alicia there, I made my way to the lawn, looking around to find him. The area was deserted, only one or two people were outside. I walked forwards, trudging between the plants to reach the opposite end from where sounds of groaning were coming from. When I reached there, I gasped. Justin was flopped against the ground, three bottles of alcohol stacked around him.

"Justin." I called his name and he lifted his head, looking at me with in indescribable expression. He pulled the bottle in his hands to his mouth. Kneeling in front of him, I pulled it out of his hands and threw it away.

"What are you doing?" he screamed at me and I recoiled.

"You are drunk." I whispered, staring into his black bottomless pits.

"Jeez. I didn't know." he rolled his eyes and collapsed against the wall.

"Are you alright?" I moved forwards to touch his forehead but the moment I touched him, he gripped my hand and pulled me towards his chest.

His eyes stared into mine, full of longing, full of desire. My whole body felt flushed because of his closeness. Not being able to look into his eyes, I lowered my gaze and rested it on his lips that looked so soft and inviting that I found myself leaning towards him.

Damien.

As his name came into my mind, I pulled my face away from him. His expressions contorted at my action and he groaned.

"L.. Leave me Justin." I stammered, still captive in his arms.

"Why? Will your boyfriend get angry?" he scoffed and pulled me closer to him once again and wrapped his arms around my waist.

"Justin please." I begged, unable to handle his proximity that was creating tingles inside my chest.

"Please what?" he said and brought his lips to my earlobes, licking one gently. My breath hitched in my throat as I fought back the moan threatening to leave my mouth.

"P.. Please." I whispered, lost in the feeling of his lips under my ear, right on my soft spot.

"Please what, Em. Say it." he whispered back and trailed his lips to the hollow of my neck, my heart hammering inside my chest as a result.

"L.. Leave me." I managed to say. I felt him smirk against my skin before pulling back. He released me yet a part of me wanted to hold on to the warmth his body was providing me.

"I bet he can't make you scream like I can." he chuckled and I blushed hard at his words.

Why was he always like this? Why can't he be normal for a change?

"I'm leaving." I said and stood up to leave but his hands stopped me and he once again pulled me to his lap.

"Justin." I whined, trying to release my hand.

My voice got caught in my throat when his fingers rested on my exposed thighs the next moment. Shiver after shiver ran down my spine as he moved his hand upwards, his calloused fingers awakening a strange desire in the pit of my stomach.

"Stop torturing me Emily." he said, his voice rough yet sexy at the same time. "You have no idea what you are doing to me."

And the next thing I knew, he brushed his lips against mine. Not a hard or passionate kiss, just a small brush. The taste of the alcohol lingered on my lips after he pulled back and closed his eyes against the wall.

Embarrassed, angry and hurt, I dragged myself back to the party, ignoring the thumping of my heart.

Despite everything that had happened between us, a part of me wanted him to deepen the kiss, to feel his tongue against mine and to feel his sweet taste in my mouth.
