"What are you doing here? I thought you were going around the world?" John asked Sean.
"I was, until my plane crashed onto here." He replied.
"We gotta get out of here, I think I see zombies." Justin said.
"I guess the bombs didn't kill a lot of them." John said as more than 40 zombies were alerted by the gun fire. They had nowhere to run to, the whole building was already being surrounded, without thinking, John grabbed his friends and got inside the special force's building.
"John are you crazy?! This is the bloody place where we were abused remember?!" Justin yelled
"We were abused to get stronger, so let's use it to our advantage by not getting eaten out there." John replied.
The place was deserted, the guards were wiped out already, meaning that only a few scientists were there. An alarm was suddenly triggered and every door leading outside was covered in heavy metal and a loud blaring sound echoed throughout the building.
"Somebody with access to these things is a threat to us." Sean yelled as the noise ate his words alive, it took a few minutes for the alarm to stop the noise. Sean began to try and find the room where the alarm could be enabled, John and Justin followed close by, they found a scientist hurriedly working on something.
"Hey! What are you doing?" Sean yelled at the man,
"Shut up, this thing is going to explode if you distract me for more than a second." He replied.
"Excuse me?" Sean said in anger as he was about to attack him before he was held back by John saying
"This might be important."
The scientist poured a boiling substance into a syringe, he covered the needle and put it in his pocket.
"I have made a treatment for the patients you call zombies." He said before walking outside the room.
"Follow him and don't let him outside your view, he might contact someone." Sean ordered the two. They followed the scientist into a room with a chained zombie, he fearlessly got near enough to inject the substance in the zombie. John was impressed as nobody dares to go near one of them. The zombie began to melt, draining onto the floor. The scientist was disappointed and walked towards the horrified trio.
"We're never going to find a cure, you might as well take me with your inevitable deaths." He said
"We're not gonna trust you easily." Justin replied.
"Well, what's the worst thing can I even do?"
"Melt us like that dude."
"Fair enough."
They decided to loot the entire building. There never seemed to be anything useful, no weapons or any thing that can be used to heal someone. Nobody ever talked since the scientist joined the group, they just used the time to find something that can help their current situation. "Hey, what's your name?" John asked the scientist.
"Oh, uh... My name is Seth." he replied. John nodded as a sign of understanding,
"Hey Sean, what exactly are we looking for?" Justin asked
"For the guy who activated the alarm." He said as he opened a door labelled Surveillance Room the exact same room John and his friends used to "escape". There was a guard who immediately started shooting at the four, they took cover from all the bullets. "What's the plan Sean?" Justin yelled as the guard kept shooting.
"Stun grenade." He replied as he pulled something and threw it in the room.
"Wait what?" The guard said before a sudden burst of blinding light filled the room and a loud sound made him lose balance, he fell to the floor while suffering blindness and loss of balance. Only Sean was left standing as the others were also affected by the loud sound, he was wearing a military ear plug that completely blocked out sound.
"Ow, what the hell?!" Seth yelled while trying to recover. Sean quickly disarmed the guard and tied him up, the effects of the grenade was still there, so they had to wait a few minutes to question the guard properly. After waiting, they had recovered and were able to hear and see. Sean began the interrogation,
"Why the hell did you trigger that alarm?"
"So the iron curtains would drop and we won't have zombies breaking in!"
"Well you made a grand mistake!"
"Why?"
"Because they're attracted to noise, dumbass! If it was blaring loud in the inside, that would mean it would also be loud as hell outside!"
"Oh my gosh!" The guard yelled in horror as he realized that he had attracted more than a hundred zombies to their location.
"What the hell are we gonna do?" Seth asked as they realized that the metal bars wouldn't hold out with that many of them.
