Hank was outside of his car, making a call, hence Connor and I remained inside. The android had his eyes closed, causing me to wonder if he was sending report to Cyberlife again. I shifted in my seat, having to think of the events yesterday. I had been unduly afraid to lose Connor. With a sad expression on my face, I once more peeked at him, making sure he was still there. When he had run into the open field it had felt as if my heart had simply stopped beating. An ache pierced through my head, hence I held it with one hand. I didn't want to think of it, however, it always returned. Haunted me. I couldn't image living without Connor anymore. It hadn't been long since we had met but I felt so utterly connected to him, it was ridiculous.

"Are you all right (Y/N)?" Connor looked back at me, worry in his eyes. I solely stared at him, the images of him being shot not leaving my mind. I didn't want to concern him with it, yet I couldn't stop.

"Do you not value your life even a bit?" I quietly asked, unable to suppress my anguish. He tilted his head, probably not understanding what I meant. However, I was too marred to explain anything.

"I was so scared that I might lose you. Why do you always put yourself in harm's way, Connor?" Feeling that tears threatened to spill, I took a deep breath and before the android was able to answer, I had already left the car.

Fortunately, Hank just got off his call, giving me an actual reason to escape this conversation any further. Connor stepped outside as well, glancing at me with a distressed expression faintly covering his face. I instead addressed Hank.

"Is everything ok?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Chris was on patrol last night. He was attacked by a bunch of deviants... He said he was saved by Markus himself..."

I widened my eyes, hearing the news. Despised my bewilderment, relief washed over me, knowing that Chris hadn't been attacked and deviants had acted friendly.

"Is Chris ok?" Connor moved forward.

Hank nodded, responding, "Yeah, he's in shock but...he's alive... What the hell..."

The lieutenant started leading the way, thus I hastily followed him, not able to be alone with Connor at the moment.

"Kamski left CyberLife ten years ago... Why did you wanna meet him?" The android inquired from behind.

"This guy created the first android to pass the Turing test. And he's the founder of CyberLife. Anybody can tell us about deviants, it's him..." Hank answered, reaching the door.

I stopped next to him and so did Connor, as he rang the bell. For a while, there was no answer, whereas Hank was about to repeat his prior action. Suddenly though, the door was opened by a young, blonde android, wearing a blue and rather elegant dress. She solely stared at us, no reaction on her face.

"Hi... Uh... I'm, er, Lieutenant Hank Anderson, Detroit Police Department. I'm here to see Mr. Elijah Kamski." Hank stuttered a bit, causing me to squint one eye at the female.

As if someone had exchanged her, she now sweetly smiled at us, moving aside and gesturing with one arm towards the entrance. "Please, come in."

Her voice was like honey, fairly soothing. We stepped inside as soon as Hank had answered, "Okay."

She stepped next to us, folding her hands together in front of her body, which appeared to be a common pose for androids, as I had noted.

"I'll let Elijah know you're here. But please, make yourself comfortable."
