Chapter 9

"If all there's left to do is walk away, then baby I'm as gone as yesterday."

I grabbed my bag from off the floor and swinged it on my shoulder. Exiting fourth period I headed to the cafeteria to go meet up with Julie. Walt was at my side like always talking but I really wasn't listening.

All I could think about was last night and this morning events with Lawrence. He is really starting to get to me badly. I can't believe those words came out his and my mouth. We were basically talking about having kids together! What in the hell is happening around here?!

Groaning I focused my attention back on the hallway because I did not want to bump into something or someone and have to apologize. Entering the lunch room I hurried into a line a bought my food quickly.

Julie was sitting at our regular lunch table as always so I found her easily. I took a seat next to her while Walt sat on the right side facing us. "So, did Josiah say you can come?"

"At first he said I couldn't go because of my grades but after convincing him he said I could go."

"How'd you convince him?"

"Um...I might've told him that I'd do my work on the trip and that he and Chris could come and that she can invite Diana."

Like I expected Julie dropped her fork and stared at me in disbelief. "Are you serious?! I'm fine with Josiah coming but Chris and Diana?! That's just a heap of trouble!"

"Chris isn't so bad and Diana won't cause any trouble."

"How can you be so sure she won't cause any trouble?"

Before I could answer Diana herself came and took a seat next to Walt. "So, I heard we're going on a camping trip. Please enlighten me with sleeping arraignments" she said as she eyed Walt.

Julie scoffed. "All boys in one cabin and all girls in another cabin. Parents will all sleep together in a cabin."

"Can't we all get our own cabins? We won't have any privacy if were all together."

"Privacy to do what exactly?"

Diana turned and glared at Julie who was also glaring back at her. Walt ended up talking saying "Am I invited to this camping trip?"

"Of course you are! I came over here to invite you myself!" Diana beamed.

"Are you nuts?! He can't go because Lawren-"

She got cut off when Lawrence himself popped up on cue and took a seat next to me and Matthew next to her. I blushed as last night events popped up back into my head. I was glad he wasn't paying attention to me right now cause I didn't want him to start embarrassing me.

"Please continue your sentence Jules. I'd love to know what you were about to say about me" he said with a huge smirk on his face.

She rolled her eyes and went back to eating her salad. Diana took that as her cue to talk. "She was just telling us about sleeping arraignments and I was just inviting Walt to the camping trip."

"He doesn't need to come and who invited you?" Lawrence asked with a hint of anger.

"My sister invited me who got invited by Alice. Anymore stupid questions?"

"If you have anymore stupid ass answers then no I do not."

"Are you mad cause Alice is going to be sleeping with Walt and not you? Boohoo!"

I quickly interjected before Lawrence caused a scene. "Stop starting trouble, Diana! You know girls will sleep with girls and boys with boys!"

She scoffed. "I just wanted to see how he'd react. No need to get all serious."

I rolled my eyes at all of their stupid bickering. This camping trip is seriously going to end up with one of us dead and the rest of us burying that person.

When the bell ranged I was so happy. Grabbing my things I threw out my tray and headed to my next class with Lawrence right at my side. I'd been getting work I forgot to do from all of my teachers. While everyone is going to be having fun on the trip I'll be busy doing work. I groaned in misery. Why even go to the trip if all I'll be doing is work!

"Of course you're going on the trip! Don't even think of backing out, sweetheart, because I'll make sure you go on that trip."

I looked at Lawrence in confusion. Did I say that out loud?! Ugh! I need to stop thinking out loud.

"You're still doing it."

I cursed silently under my breath. "Anyways, what are you going to do if I don't go on the trip? You can't force me to go anywhere if I don't want to."

He smirked and said "Try me."

Shaking in pleasure I hurried to class. Entering I went straight up to the teacher and explained for the hundredth time today about the trip. After I finished she just smiled at me and said "I'm glad you told me this! Me and Ms. Fernier are putting on a play at school and we need someone to play the protagonist, Annabel."

"Play? But your a science teacher."

"Doesn't mean I'm not good at anything else. Now, will you take the part or not?"

"I don't know. I'm really not into-"

"If you accept the part I'll make it a two hundred point project."

"Sorry about what I said before. Something was stuck in my throat. What I meant to say was I'd love to play, Annabel! When do we start rehearsal?"

She smiled. "We start rehearsal after next week. I'll email you a copy of the play so you'll know your lines. Go over them and be ready."

"Alright and thank you for giving me the chance to bring up my grade."

"Don't thank me just yet. I think after you see who's playing the male protagonist you won't be thanking me."

Confused I was about to ask what she meant by that but before I could she made everyone go take a seat and write what a nucleus is. As I took a seat Lawrence asked "Why can't me and you share a cabin?"

I looked at him like he had three heads. "You know why we can't share a cabin!"

He smirked. "I have no clue why we can't share a cabin, sweetheart."

"Yeah, right. Just stop talking to me before you get me in tro-"

It was to late. Ms.Graham had caught us talking and demanded one of us to come up to the front of the class and say out loud what we were talking about. Before I could stop him he was already out of his seat and standing up front with his famous smirk on his face. "Well, class, if you must know Alice and I were talking about why girls and boys can't share a cabin."

Everyone laughed a little which Ms.Graham made them shush and he continued on. "We all know what happens when a girl and boy are left all alone. Clothes come off and skin contact is made. Lips touch sensitive parts of the body and one after another orgasm is-"

"That's enough, Mr. Conway! Go take a seat right now!"

He chuckled and did as he was told. Once she went back to teaching he decided to talk up. "Is what I said why me and you can't share a cabin?"

"Shut up, Conway! Whatever you say or do we are not going to share a cabin!"

He laughed then leaned closer to me. "We'll see about that won't we, sweetheart." He eyed my lips before quickly giving me a quick peck. I gasped in disbelief that he actually kissed me in class in front of everyone! Looking around I saw everyone had their eyes on us. I was officially now totally embarrassed out of life!

As I covered my face that I knew was burning red I heard Conway laugh and say "You shouldn't hide your face, sweetheart. But I'll let it slide since I'll be seeing a lot of it on the trip in our cabin."

I groaned knowing way one or another Lawrence was not going to give up on us both sharing a cabin. Ugh! This is going to be one hell of a camping trip! Diana, Walt, Julie, Lawrence, and me just equals a huge pile of trouble!
