Change of Heart

Chapter 6

I stared at him for two complete seconds before turning back around and climbing out of the window. I know, I know. You're probably thinking "Why don't you stay?!"

There's no freaking way I'm staying to face his wrath. Just something about today made me know it wasn't going to be a kiss and makeup fight like usual.

I would've gotten far but it takes time to climb out a window safely and my left ankle had suddenly been grabbed. Groaning I looked back at Lawrence and said "Let go of my leg!"

"I'll let it go when you get your ass back inside. Now!"

"No way! I have nothing to say to you so release my leg!"

"Well, I have plenty to say to you! So, please...come back inside" he pleaded with his eyes. Knowing I was making the biggest mistake of my life I groaned then came back into Mat's room.

Crossing my hands we both just stood there staring at each without saying anything. After what seemed like a hour I got annoyed and spoke up. "Are you going to stare at me all day long or say what you have to say?!"

He sighed and ran a hand through his hair. "Why are you confusing me so much, Alice? One minute you're sweet then the next minute you're a damn ninja!"

"You're the one who's always confusing me! I can't hang out with my ex but you can gladly go hang with yours who you let kiss you?!"

He groaned. "For the last time, Alice, I didn't let her kiss me! And anyways you did way worser stuff then I did! With yours you cuddle, played around, and even told him you loved him!"

"I only did that stuff because you ran off with the she devil! Maybe if you hadn't done that I'd have been touching you all over and not Walt!"

Thinking hard about my choice of words I suddenly got embarrassed. Looking at Lawrence I saw he was holding back a smirk but was failing miserably. Then right here and now I want to die of embarrassment after he said "Touch me all over huh?"

Blushing beat red I stuttered. "S-shut up! I-I didn't mean it like that! You just...ugh! You just make me say and do the stupidest things ever!"

By now Lawrence was full on laughing his ass off. How dare he laugh at me! "S-stop laughing! It's not funny! I'm dead serious!"

Catching his breath he said "You're right. I should feel special since I can make you do and say stupid things."

I wish I would've kept my mouth shut and never said that. Now he's going to never stop using my own words against me. "A-anyways why are you here?!"

He seemed to realize why he was really here and his face went back to full on rage. Oh, boy. "I'm here because you weren't answering your phone yesterday. Do you know how many times I tried calling you?! I was seriously worried about you but then I find out you've been with Mat doing god knows what!"

"He and I just went out for drinks to discuss something. We didn't do anything else. I swear."

"Except sleep together in the same bed."

"I know with the situation you'd think we did something but we didn't. Why are you so concerned?"

"Because your my girlfriend" he said with a 'duh' expression.

"Technically, no I'm not," I said challenging him, "I'm only your girlfriend because I made a deal with you. So in all honesty you've never really asked me out properly" I grinned knowing I was full on right.
