"EX means: Thanks for the EXperience. Our time has EXpired. Now EXit my life!"
-Alice Johnson
As soon as we got home I quickly grabbed my bags and ran up to my room. Throwing the bags on the ground I then sighed heavily as I jumped on my bed. I couldn't help but close my eyes and sigh in bliss as I'd missed my bed.
My eyes shot open when I heard my phone ding. Grabbing it out of my pocket I looked to see Lawrence texted me, 'Are you okay? You were acting weird today. Call me.'
I sighed. Out of everyone I did not feel like talking to him right now. Going to my contacts list I clicked Julie's name and texted her, 'I need to talk to you! It's urgent!'
I tapped my phone lightly, waiting for a reply. What in the world was taking her so long?! Any other time she'd have been sent back a reply as soon as I sent one.
While I waited for a reply I let my mind wander back to Lawrence and I. I'd wondered what was running through his mind right now. Was he thinking the same thing as I or just excited cause he'd managed to take away Alice Johnson's V-card?
I groaned in frustration. A part of me really wants to believe he's changed and isn't a player anymore but the other half of me is having serious doubts. My thoughts were interrupted as my phone dinged. 'Is it urgent urgent? Like "camping telling secrets" urgent?'
I scrunched my face up at her choice of words but none the less replied back with a yes. I was relieved when she'd texted back instantly. 'Feel like coming over to my place?'
I smiled and told her I'd be there in a few minutes. Getting up I hurried downstairs and out the door quickly before Josiah could even ask where I was headed. Walking down the sidewalk I went back to what I was on my mind, Lawrence. Was I wrong for leaving him like that? I didn't know if I should've stayed or not but to me it would've been awkward.
Sighing I decided to not think about it anymore until I got to Julie's. I knew she'd have the best advice to give after she was done tearing my ear off. I chuckled a bit as I could already imagine how she would react when I tell her the news. She probably was going to freak out that I didn't tell her immediately but I knew somehow she'd understand.
Hurrying I made it to her place in less then ten minutes. I was about to knock on the door but it was suddenly swung open. I was taken aback for a moment but recomposed myself. Mrs.Ward stood there in a all white dress and black heels with her long and ginger hair gelled down neatly. Her and Julie looked so much alike that when I'd met her the first time I thought she was her sister.
Smiling politely I said "Hi, Mrs.Ward. You look great! Where are you of to?"
"Nice to see you, darling. It's been forever! And thank you! I'm actually heading to dinner with my associates. We're celebrating a huge win tonight."
"That's great and congratulations! I'm just here to see Julie."
"Of course! She's in her room. Tell her if she's hungry Freya left some leftovers in the fridge. I've got to go but it was nice seeing you!"
She smiled warmly at me before heading over to her car and leaving. Finally inside I shut the door and headed upstairs to Julie's room. Not even knocking I entered it spontaneously. She was sitting on her bed but jumped up when I'd entered. When she saw it was me she sighed then glared playfully at me.
"Don't just bust through people's room like that! Knock next time!" She grabbed one of her pillows off her bed and threw it at me. I managed to dodge it even though I was giggling hysterically.
"When's the last time you knocked on my door?"
She rolled her eyes. "Touché. But can we please get to why you're here now in the first place. What was so urgent you couldn't wait until tomorrow?"
