CHAPTER 6

Max couldn't take his eyes off his mate. She was even more stunning in daylight. Her eyes were a deep blue, her wet hair, was long and dark. Her body,  indescribable! It was lightly tanned, curvaceous, toned and her breasts were even more enticing, encased snugly into a dark blue skimpy top.

Looking at her, his beast growled, "Mine!"

Cassie was starting to get cold, so debated whether she should get out or stay. But, knowing she couldn't stand there freezing, she moved towards shore, out of the water, walking to her bag and bending down to get her towel, hearing a low growl from behind. Startled, she turned around quickly, clutching the towel to her body, hitting something hard.

Max was watching Cassie as she walked out the water, her legs seemed to go on forever and when she turned and bent down, he couldn't hold back his growl, moving with speed towards her. Startling her, she instantly turned, bumping into him.

His hands automatically steadied her, clasping around her arms. Looking down, he saw and felt the small shiver that passed through her body. Smiling, he knew that she was feeling the mate pull.

"Are you alright?" He asked, while gently caressing her arms.

She looked up, a slight blush forming on her cheeks, which made him smile even more. She gazed at him, desire darkening her eyes. At that moment, he only wanted to pull her in and kiss her senseless.

Cassie couldn't believe what was happening, the wall she bumped into, was actually a man's hard, oh so sexy, muscular chest, looking at it and feeling his hands on her arms, was creating a sensual heat throughout her body, creating shivers and sensations down to her core. And when his dark husky voice spoke, asking if she was ok, she held back a moan. Blushing, she looked up and saw it was Max. His eyes held the same emotion as her. Then in a daze, she saw his eyes change to a glowing gold. Blinking she looked at his eyes again and thought she had imagined it.

Max stepped back, letting go regrettably. His beast almost coming out and he couldn't do that at this moment.

Cassie felt Max's withdrawal and felt an instant loss. Sadness swept through her, why was she feeling like this? Why was her body reacting so quickly to this man, someone she only met moments ago! Muttering an apology, she quickly turned, drying herself off, putting her clothes on, while she gathered a semblance of order in her mind before joining the group.
