Chap 5 - Leaving

Jennie's Pov

It's the day I'm leaving Korea to New Zealand....should I be happy?

Until now I haven't told Rio. What will be his reaction. I'm so worried about him. I haven't seen him since the last time I saw him at his house. I wonder how he is doing right now. And the letter? Well I packed it with my stuff. I want to keep it because I will always read it everytime I miss him.

I looked at the photos of me and Rio when we were kids until now. I smiled.

I walked towards my shelves full of pictures of us. Tears started dropping out of my eyes.

I wiped my tears as I grab one of the picture frame. When me and Rio were eating ice-cream. I chuckled when I remembered before we bought ice cream....that day....

Flashback...

2 years ago

"Rio!" i called his name so loud, so he can hear it. Oh this stubborn head dork.

"Rio!!! " i said once again. "If you don't come here, I will really kick your balls!!".

I heard running steps towards my direction and finally!!!! He's here at last!

"yahhh what took you so long?" I said. He was panting hard, so I walked towards him and pulled out my handkerchief and wiped his sweaty face.

"Sorry.....Nini.... I.....had....to.....do....something....for...mum" he said as he was still panting. "Ohhh okay." "Let's go get ice-cream Rio!" I said. "Where?" he said. "The store close to my house. It's not that far. We'll ask your mum, so she can go with us." he nodded.

I was about to walk, when he said, "Wait Nini.... " i saw him gulped. I tilted my head and said "what is it?". He gulped again. "Ar-e you r-really going to kick my----" I quickly put my hand to cover his mouth, because I didn't want him to say that word, again. I had to say that earlier, so he can come to me.

I giggled nervously. ".......Well I will if you really stop making me shout your name so many times!" i removed my hand from his mouth. He blinked a couple of times and gulped. Hahahha!! So cute.

I pinched his cheeks, that made him wince. I smiled and walked inside his house leaving him dumbfounded.

Present

I smiled at the picture and placed it back. I miss those times we spent.

I sighed and I heard someone knocking. So I ran to the door to open it revealing....Rio.

He said "Hey.... " when he said that, there was this sadness tone I could hear. I quickly hug him and said "Hi..... I missed you so much." It took him seconds to respond to my hug and I'm glad he did. "I miss you too Nini... ". We pulled the hug.

He's puts his hands inside his pockets and looked down. I looked at him feeling so pity. It was so quiet when he coughed and rub his nape. "Umm what I said in the letter... Uhh i didn't really mean to be distant that much, I just you know....". I sighed. "I know Rio and I promise you that I will follow your decisions." He nodded. "I forgive you nini... " he said. I smiled and did the same. "I forgive you too Rio." We both hugged so tight.
