Chapter 16

Next day.....

It was 7:00 am. Rio had to drop Jun to school first. So Kelly and Jennie stayed. Jennie felt kinda nervous facing him again, but a smile form as Rio will be there.

She fixed Kelly's bag and placed it on top of the kitchen counter. "Kelly! Where are you?" she called out. Running footsteps can be heard from the living room. It was Kelly.

Jennie crouched down to match her height. "Baby, are you ready to see daddy?" she asked rubbing both of her arms up and down. Kelly pouted and crossed her arms. "NO!" she shouted.
Jennie was shock to hear Kelly rejecting to see her father. "But baby---" Kelly cut her off. "Mommy....he hurt daddy~~" tears could be seen from her eyes. Jennie sighed and noded. She embraced her daughter for a hug. "I understand that Kelly, but daddy Kai is still your father." Jennie really hopes Kelly will choose to stay with her.

"Well I don't want to see him!" she shouted. Jennie was about to say something back, when the front door opened, it was Rio. She stood up and fixed herself. "Daddy~~!" Kelly run towards him and asked to carry her. She kissed Rio's cheek and smiled to him. "Did you miss me that much?" he said and Kelly noded happily.

Meanwhile Jennie was thinking about that night, when they almost did it. But she wants to make their relationship slow.
She grabs Kelly's bag and head towards them. She smiled as he makes Kelly laugh. Rio notice her and smiles directly to her, which made her smile back. "You ready?" he asked. Jennie sighed and nod. She knows she can do it. All she has to do is talk through it, sign the paper's and done. "Jennie, look at me, please?" he said. Jennie looked to meet his eyes. "I know it's not easy for you right now, but I'm going to be by your side, okay?" he said and looks at Kelly who was busy playing with her little hands. "Thankyou Rio" Jennie told him. Rio smiles widely and kissed her forehead. "Let's go?" he said.

As they got in the parking lot. He unlocks the car and Jennie goes in the passenger seat. He put Kelly on her carseat at the back. Then walks to the driver seat. He start's the car.

"It's going to be a long ride I guess." He said and turns the wheel. She nods. "Who will take care of Jun though?" Jennie asked. "Don't worry, Rosè will." Rio looks at her and smile.

It's been a quiet ride for the three. But because Kelly fell asleep, the two didn't talk much.

But Jennie decided to break the silence. "Rio.....will Kelly choose me?" She looks down and fiddles with her nails. He looks at her and placed his free hand on top. "Jennie, don't worry, I'm sure she will choose you. It's clear that she doesn't like him at all." He holds Jennie's hand tight and looks at Kelly from the mirror and smiles.

Rio felt so happy to be with Jennie and Kelly. He was glad to help them. For the past few months since they stayed at his apartment, he felt refreshed and happiness whenever they are around, unlike before, he was lonely, sad and depressed. Kelly was always there to love him like a father.

Especially he's also happy now that Jennie and him are back together for a long time. He's planning to court her soon, which excites him. He wanted this, and now it's going to happen.

Rio looks at Jennie and she is sleeping peacefully. He smiles and continue driving.

~~1 hour later~~

Rio parked the car carefully. He then gently wake Jennie up. "Jennie... We're here now" he said. It took Jennie some time to adjust her eyes. She yawns and looks outside.

Jennie Pov

I arrived at the clerks office and my hands are trembling right now. Rio is trying to talk to Kelly, since she didn't want to go. I really felt bad for my daughter. She's too young to do this, but it's for out own safety now.
