This is a Kingdom hearts Fanfic
A girl wondering aimlessly through time only to lose everything she holds dear every time she thinks she can be happy. Now she joins three other Keyblade wielders hoping that this time will be different.
It was already nighttime but (y/n) wasn't able to sleep. She decided to go outside and look at the stars. She sat on a lonely hill quite far from the castle and started thinking. "What do stars mean?"
Suddenly a black smoke appeared behind her. She got up ready to fight since she didn't have a good feeling about this. The boy took up his keyblade. (y/n) was surprised. "Who are you?" she asked him but he didn't answer. The fight was fierce and was sure to be noticed by everyone in the castle. While it showed they were both struggling (y/n) didn't want to use her new technique since she was scared of what the master might have said. In that moment of weakness, the boy appeared behind her and knocked her out. He then lifted up and carried her through a dark corridor that he conjured up.
The fighting woke up everyone in the castle. They all came running to the place where they heard the sound from. But by the time they got there, there was no one left. All they found was a Starlight keyblade. Ven ran over to the keyblade picking it up. Tears started running from his eyes. "Where is she?! What happened?!" he yelled. Everyone was quiet, looking at the ground. They were worried about not knowing what had happened to their friend. Even master Eraqus didn't know what to do.
Ven stormed away with (y/n)'s keyblade in hand. He searched all night for his best friend. Although it hasn't been that long since they met, he considered her special.
"Where are you?" he thought. "I don't want to lose you."
Aqua, Terra and master Eraqus were all back in the castle trying to find out what to do. Master Eraqus had already thought of canceling the Mark of Mastery exam. But since Master Xehanort was also coming that wasn't an option. Ven just came back, his face beet red. Aqua tried to comfort him. suddenly he collapsed from exhaustion, so Terra carried him to his room.He then woke up only a day before the Mark of Mastery exam. In the night he snuck out to go and watch the stars, but he fell asleep. He woke up seeing Aqua standing over him. "Ven, you hopeless sleepy head. You could've at least brought a blanket."
They then sat down to look at the stars together. "You ever wonder what stars are?" Ven asked."Well, they say..."
"that every star out there is another world." She was interrupted by Terra.
"So maybe (y/n) is in one of these worlds. If I go to visit them, maybe I'll be able to find her. "We'll go save her together after the exam tomorrow is over," Aqua said.
The next day was finally time. Ven woke up early and ran to (y/n)'s room to wake her up, but when he got there, there was no one in the room. His normally happy expression turned into a sad one as he slowly walked around her room hoping he would find some clues to her disappearing. He saw something shining on the nightstand. He came closer and saw a silver bracelet with two charms on it. One was in the shape of a keyblade and the other one had a heart with an infinity shape on it. It looked like there was one other that was supposed to be there, it looked like it was broken off.

"That bracelet appeared on the day she finally woke up when she got here. But she didn't like to wear it since it had something to do with her past. At least that's what she always said." Aqua said while she walked into the room. "You should take it and keep it safe until we find her. I have a feeling this is more important than we first thought." She told Ven.
There was also a book next to it. In an unknown language, Ven couldn't read. "Hey Aqua, can you read this?"
"I've never seen a language like that." She said and opened it. There were all sorts of translations and notes in it.
"It says something about Scala ad Caelum. But I don't know what that's supposed to be.""Hey, hurry up, the exam's about to start!" Terra came in.
MEANWHILE
Master Xehanort had just arrived in the Land of Departure. He immediately noticed that (y/n) was missing. "You seem to be one student short Eraqus. Whatever could have happened?""She disappeared one night not too long ago. We don't know where she is."
"I see." The old man said holding his chin.
"But, don't worry too much about it. I'll find out how to bring her back. Whatever it takes.""Eraqus... you really don't know who that girl is, do you?"
Just before he could answer the three keyblade wielders came in, ready for the exam to start. Aqua and Terra were standing in front of both masters while Ven was watching from the sidelines somewhat lost in thoughts still worried about (y/n). Master Eraqus started giving instructions for the exam, summoning 5 light orbs. But they got infused with dark magic which made them dangerous. One came flying at Ven. That snapped him back to reality. He immediately summoned him keyblade, destroying the orb.
"Ven, you should get away from here," Aqua said, worried.
"No way, I've waited for this for so long I'm not going to miss it now. I'll be fine. You two just focus on the exam and don't worry about me."
"He's right Aqua. We have to focus on the exam," said Terra, Aqua agreeing with him.
They successfully fended off the orbs which brought them to the final stage of the exam. They had to fight each other. During the battle, a small part of the darkness came out of Terra's arm, but he quickly regained control over it.
The fight was done. Everyone was waiting for the master's decision.
"You both show great promise." he started. "But this time, only Aqua has reached the mark of Mastery." He and Master Xehanort then left leaving the trio alone. Nobody felt like celebrating. Terra left, saying he needs to be alone for a while and Ven returned to his room. As he was lying on the bed, a masked boy came through a black portal. Ven jumped up, his keyblade ready and waiting to fight.
"You're weak. If you don't do something about it everyone you love is going to leave you. They'll disappear just like that girl." the masked boy said.
"what do you know about her. Are you the one who took her?" Ven was getting angry."So what if I am. You're not strong enough to protect her anyway."
That made Ven snap. He charged at the masked boy but just as he was about to make contact he disappeared into a black portal.
The bells outside were ringing. Ven quickly took off the courtyard. There he saw Terra equipping his armor. He told Ven that he has something he has to take care of. And just like that he opened a portal and left. Ven quickly copied Terra's actions equipping his armor and summoning a portal.
"This way, I'll be able to find Terra and save (y/n)." just as he was about to leave Aqua came running outside telling him not to leave. But she was too late. Master Eraqus instructed her to bring Ven and (y/n) back save no matter what.
And so the trio left Land of Departure not knowing what awaited them in the outside world.
