*Now*
I beat my head against my steering wheel, not even trying to get out of the car. Four hours, seventeen minutes, and thirty seconds ago, I learned Reginald Assbag finally kicked the bucket. After 47 seconds of regret, I get out of the car, dragging my suitcases out of my car. I head up to the house, hating everything about the building. It's so dreary. At least I can see the others. Well, at least five of them. Lily's in a whole other country, and the others...
"Still as shitty as I remember," I mumble, heading into the living room. I find Klaus chilling out on the couch, feather boa draped gracefully on his shoulders. He spots me before clambering to get up, hurrying over to me. He grabs the sides of my arms loosely.
"(Y/n)! How ya been? Fightin' off the ladies and gents? You're looking great! Anywho, you wanna help me... Ya know, find expensive stuff?" I cover my mouth and nose, trying not to laugh. Goddamnit Klaus.
"I'm good. No, I'm ugly enough to repel any gender, and thank you. And how could I help? I'm bad at that stuff," I ask, crossing my arms. He fakes upset as he puts a hand to his chest.
"Nonsense, you look amazing! I'm surprised nobody else has seen that yet," he smiles sweetly, and my heart stops. Oh, you drug filled douchebag, don't you dare make me feel the teenage feelings. They have been locked away. NO.
"Everyone's beautiful, in their heart," he continues as he spins around, putting his hands on his heart jokingly. "And you can physically mess with timey wimey stuff. Just give me time to yoink the jingly gold stuff." I laugh at his wording as he walks around the room.
"That's not how that works, you nerd. You, of all people, know this," I tell him, following him. He turns and looks at me, leaning forward and putting his fists on his hips.
"Fine then. If you won't help, you get no money. I was gonna share, but not now." With that, he heads up to dad's study.
I take in a few deep breaths before walking around the house. I find Mom, and I smile at her.
"Hey Mom." She looks at me and smiles slightly. "Did you miss me?"
"Of course! I missed all of you kids," she grins before looking away. I shrug it off before heading upstairs to my room.
My room lacked so many things. As in, everything a teenager would've liked. All it held is a bed, a dresser, a mirror, and a closet. No wonder I hated this place. Why didn't I run away?
I look closely to my dresser. There's a small heart with mine and Klaus' initials together carved into the dresser. I snort, trying not to laugh. That's why.
"So, this is your room." I turn to see Diego, leaning against the doorframe as he looks around the room. "Pretty bare. I thought you'd have more... I dunno, stuff." I shrug, scratching at the engraving.
"No, I didn't get much as a teen. Weird, right? I spent all my money on snacks and you guys," I joke, walking over to him. He looks down at me, raising an eyebrow. Damn my short stature.
"So, it seems like you continued saving people. I'm guessing the others moved on with life," I smile slightly, putting my hands on my hips. He rolls his eyes.
"Yeah. You know about Luther, Allison, and... Ben. Klaus is Klaus, and Vanya... I really don't know. She teaches violin, I think?" He tells me. I look at the ground. We all miss Ben.
"I tried steering clear of anything related to this place, but it's like a ghost hau- Oh, I shouldn't phrase it like that?" I laugh slightly, covering my mouth.
"Oh right, you and Klaus had a- a thing," he jokes, smirking slightly. I push him, my face heating up.
"It wasn't a thing! He was my good friend and I cared for him!" I huff, glaring at him. He steps back, holding his hands up in surrender.
"Just saying, you guys spent an awful lot amount of time shut up in your room." My jaw drops, and I stomp towards him, causing him to hurry down the hall laughing. I huff, turning to look in the mirror. I get a good glimpse of myself. I look at the door before quickly closing it. I take my hoodie off, looking at my body in the mirror. I look unhealthy. How long has it been since I ate a full meal? It doesn't matter.
