I pull on my hoodie before heading downstairs. I stop when I see the others sitting in the living room.
"Oh. Hey Allison, Luther," I mutter, feeling more than left out. Klaus looks at me sadly before walking over to me. He holds out a bottle.
"Wanna drink?" he asks, smiling. I smile.
"No thanks. Nice skirt by the way," I joke. He grins, spinning around.
"Danke." We smile at each other for about seven seconds before Luther clears his throat. I look at him, momentarily forgetting he was here.
"Oh, right. Sorry, this must be family matters," I speak up, venom behind my words. I'm not their sibling. I'm not special.
I start to head back to my room. I get to the steps before Klaus grabs my arm. He turns me around, sadness very evident on his face.
"Hey, hey, hey now. You are just as much a part of this as any of us, alright? He was your father too, even if you couldn't count us as siblings." He smiles slightly. If he keeps it up, my heart may very well stop. As it is my head feels fuzzy. I start nodding before I realize I am.
"Alright. Okay," I whisper, grabbing his hand. He pulls me back into the living room, sitting me down on the couch. He sits down beside me, grabbing his bottle and looking at Luther.
"Alright, let's keep going," Diego mutters. The words after just pass through me. My head hurts, and I can't physically process any of it. Something about Dad's monocle, and the moon. I lean back, my whole body feeling weak. Am I sick? I shouldn't be. I would know if I was. Maybe I haven't eaten? When was the last time I ate? Well, I ate a candy bar this morning, but that doesn't count. Last time I ate a real meal was... Oh. It's been fourty-nine hours, thirty-seven minutes, and thirteen seconds. How did I not realize? I should get something to eat...
Before I realize it, I'm being shaken awake. I jump up, looking down at the person. Diego looks really concerned. I look around to see everyone else is looking at me worriedly. Oh, I'm leaning on Klaus, I realize. I get off of him before trying to stand up. Key word: try. I fall right back down, my head spinning. Klaus grabs my waist, making sure I don't get back up.
"What's goin on?" I ask, looking at Allison. She looks at Luther before looking at me again.
"You fainted while we were talking about the funeral. Are you okay?" She asks, tilting her head. I nod.
"Yeah, I just haven't eaten in a while," I reassure them, making to get up again. Both Klaus and Diego push me back down, ignoring my huff of disapproval.
"I'll get you something," Allison steps in, hurrying to the kitchen. I huff again, louder.
"Really guys, I'm fi-"
"You are not! And I'm not losing you again!" Klaus interrupts dramatically, putting a hand to his chest. I smile slightly, trying to push him away. He doesn't budge. I huff, crossing my arms over my chest.
"Come on, I'll be fine. I need to go call Lily anyway. You guys continue your... errr.... conversation," I reassure them. Before they can answer, Allison hurries in with a (f/s) sandwich. She hands it to me excitedly.
"I remembered," she whispers as I take it. I take a bite before nodding.
"Thank you," I mumble, covering my mouth so I don't spit.
"Anyway, about Dad-" they continue on as if nothing happened, which I'm slightly grateful for. I don't need them pitying me. I try to sneakily escape, hurrying up the steps before they realize I'm gone. I reach the top step before I hear someone at the bottom.
"Hey, where are you going?" I turn to see Allison, concern covering her face.
"I need to call Lily," I manage to squeak out. Why does she want to know? She's never cared before. She smiles at me, like a mother being proud of a child.
"Alright. Tell me when she'll be here, alright?" I nod, hurrying off to my room, completely away from the others. Of course it is.
I grab my phone and dial Lily's number. I haven't called her in about... ten months, thirteen days, six hours- you get the gist.
"Hm?" She answers, sounding tired.
"It's ya favorite clock," I joke.
"Oh god what's wrong? Did someone die?" She asks quickly. I laugh awkwardly.
"Dad did?" I answer nervously. She goes silent for ten seconds.
"Right, yeah. I kinda forgot. I'm heading over now. I was just stopping to get an energy drink," she mumbles, and, as in an afterthought, "I haven't gotten much sleep."
"Don't blame ya. Now, when will you get here?" I ask, sitting down on the bed.
"About an hour? I'm not sure. I'm not you," she jokes, but her heart is obviously not in it. Maybe she's upset to come back? I decide to change the subject.
"How's Hannah and little Andy?" I ask, smiling, "Are they coming too?" She goes silent for fifty four seconds.
"Andy is." she states simply. "I gotta go. I'll talk later." Before I can ask any more, she hangs up. I sigh, setting the phone down. Is she okay?
I get up before freezing when I heard a familiar song. I giggle when I realize it's coming from Luther's room. I move around to the beat, shaking my hips as I walk through my room. I walk out of my room to the hall, cheering when the music has a slight pause. I hear Allison laugh in her room, and I grin. Even though this place sucked, I missed everyone. I need to talk to them.
The music cuts off as the sky goes black. I run down the stairs, heading out to the backyard. I stare at the giant anomaly in the air, too scared to move from my spot. I watch as Luther and Diego try, and fail, to handle the situation. Klaus flies past and throws a fire extinguisher at it, it doing absolutely nothing. I smile.
"You're doing great Klaus!" I yell jokingly, earning a grin from Klaus. Luther grabs Klaus and pushes him behind him, and I grab his arm. He looks at me before smiling slightly.
We all watch as some kid falls through the thing. It disappears, and we get a good look at the kid.
What.
The.
Fuck.
"Am I the only one who sees young Five?" Klaus asks, staring at Five in horror. I shake my head, unable to keep my jaw from dropping.
