Chapter 15. The Complication Part 2 ~Jason~, ~Thalia~ and ~Annabeth~

Oh Friday's. Ain't nothing like them. I just got home from the grocery store and I was like, "You know, I really need to update." So, here it is!

Anyway, I am super tired. It's only 9:40 and I'm about to fall asleep. I know, it's sad. But school is really exhausting. Y'all also in high school would understand. Or maybe those in middle school would too, I don't really know. So comment below if you, too, get tired from school. (written on Friday, October 17, 2014)

So indeed a few of you responded to last weeks QOTD, which was, "Should I make this book into three parts?" I may do it, but I need just a few more of you to give me the go ahead.

Well, I hope y'all are having a good week. Halloween is soon approaching. I am in high school so I guess it's no longer cool to go Trick-Or-Treating. But nonetheless, I shall wear on old costume while handing out candy to the little kids in my neighborhood. But I know that some of you are probably younger than me or maybe older and going to a party, but if you're wearing a costume, what is it? Comment below!

I must say, seeing Nico in pain made me feel sorry for the guy. I mean, he's gone through so much in his life already, he didn't deserve this. One minute, Hazel and I were on the deck planning things, when a scream arose from below deck. We exchanged a look for a split second before running to the source. The screams were coming from Nico's room. We burst in to find Nico on the floor, hunched over in pain. Hazel ran to his side.

        "It's happening again? Jason, go check on everybody on the ship! NOW!" Hazel ordered. I nodded and ran out of the room.

        The first room I checked was Piper's. Amelia was sleeping, mumbling quietly. She was facing the wall. I backed away quietly, trying not to wake her. But I must've stepped on a weak board, because the floor creaked loudly under me. But she didn't wake. She just rolled over so that I saw her face. She looked so peaceful, I wanted to believe it was just Piper in that body. 

        I slowly walked up to her and knelt in front of her face. I brushed a little chocolate hair out of her resting face. She took a deep breath in through her nose. If Amelia was anything like Piper, they were both heavy sleepers. You could set off a nuclear explosion and she wouldn't move. I shifted a little so that my face was right in front of hers. Then, the weirdest thing happens. Her eyes slowly opened. I backed away a little, just in case she was frightened by my sudden appearance. But she didn't move. And her eyes. They were glazed over, like when we found her on Circe's boat. All of the sudden, she started talking.

        "You know you liked it." What? What in the world is she saying?

        "You are not allowed to say that, remember?" Wait, was she dreaming? About, me?

        "I want to. I'm trying Jason, I really am." Yep, she's dreaming about me. Called it.

        "What?" she asked. Her eyebrows drew then together, and she started breathing heavy, like she was running. Or like she couldn't breathe. I slowly got up and backed away until I was standing in the doorway. Then she shot up. She breathed in through her nose, then out through her mouth repeatedly. After a few minutes he calmed down, and fell back on to the bed into a deep sleep again. The weird thing is that she didn't acknowledge me. Like she didn't see me. I decided not to question it and to just go and check on everyone else.
