‘So,’ Vi asked,‘What’s so important?  You did seem in a rush during the phone call.’
Dare showed her the book and how it made the tapping noises.
‘Any idea what it means Vi?’ he asked.

‘I don’t know, could be Morse code,‘ she guessed.

Dare got his computer out and translated the code.  It seemed as it would take a really long time so Vi picked up a ball and started throwing it around.
‘It doesn’t make sense,’ he muttered.

If you are reading this, I can’t say how grateful I am.  Finally, I can tell someone apart from myself.  Finally, not just one person will bear the burden of knowing this.  Finally, someone else will know.  I am saying this from a long time ago, a very long time ago.  Do not show this to anyone at all costs, or they’ll find you and hunt you as they are hunting me.  Now you have found this you know what to do.  Find out what people have been trying find for so many years.  I have hidden this inside a place of power; a book.  It has been placed in a capsule that will freeze objects in time.  This capsule has been disguised, it has been hidden in a place where no one has discovered.  Hopefully, the place will one day be discovered.  You may know it already.  There are people in your time, they will try to stop you.  The mind is tricky and nothing is always as it seems.  And remember, no matter how insane it sounds, you are the one.
Read carefully,
For this is the truth of Stonehenge.

‘What did you say?’ she said.  She walked over to him and looked at the screen.
‘You know’ she laughed, ‘This is probably a huge joke or something because that is just plain nonsense.’

‘I don’t know Vi, it could be true you know,’ he said slowly.

‘Aw, come on you asked me to come here for a stupid fake letter?  It is a bit disappointing.  Hey, want to have dinner over at my house?  I know your parents aren’t here and you probably are terrible at cooking,’ she teased with a smile.

‘I can cook very well thank you very much,’ he answered though he was secretly surprised by her offer.  ‘But sure, I’ll come.’

The were walking on the sidewalk when all of a sudden a group of girls were walking past.  ‘Oh no,’ Vi and Dare thought.  They knew these people, they were a group from their school.  All they did was gossip and put on make-up and pretty much walk around making fun of people.  And reader, you might think that these type of people were not so bad.  Take that back right now.  Please.  The moment the group spotted Dare and Vi and stopped,

‘Look who’s walking together tonight!’ giggled a girl who looked like she used all her mascara up in one go.
‘Come on Vi, why’re you datin’ a loser like ‘im?’ another girl screeched with laughter.
‘Knock it off guys, we’re not dating,’ Vi said stiffly.  The gang giggled and laughed.
‘Sure looks like it!  Don’t deny it Vi, ‘cuz the school won’t be at your back on Monday!’
About 20 phone flashed right then as the group ran of squealing...

‘First time that’s happened to me,’ Dare said in a sarcastic cheerful voice.

‘It’ll be all over school when it starts,’ Vi said in a terrified whisper.  ‘Also, those were the girls I usually hang out with,’ her voice started to crack and she began to cry.

‘Hey, it’ll be okay,’ Dare said.  But he knew it wouldn’t, he was terrible at cheering someone up without sounding like an idiot so he was pretty useless in this scenario. He was surprised, Vi never cried.

‘No it won’t!’ she cried a new river of tears.

Dare sighed,‘Of course you’re going to have a rough time.  But hey, don’t worry we’ll go through this together.  Even though that won’t make much of a difference,’ he laughed.

Violet stopped crying,‘Wow, you’re an optimist,’ she said sarcastically and punched his arm.  She was smiling though.

Come on,’ Dare said softly, ‘Let’s get over to your house.’

‘Yeah, it’s right around the-’ she started to say but everything was interrupted by loud sirens and police cars flashing by.
