‘What’s going on?’ Vi thought,‘What’s going on? The police cars are going the way we came and there was nothing there.’

As if reading her mind, Dare said,‘There seems to be a fire somewhere.  People are coming out of their houses to watch.  Come on let’s follow them, I want to see what’s going on!’

They sprinted, following the group of people, but when they were were just around the corner of the crowded place.  Vi noticed something.

‘Dare. Dare WAIT!’

Dare stopped in confusion and fell.  Violet helped him up and said slowly,
‘Look, there isn’t any smoke and it seems like the whole neighborhood is here.  Tell me, Why would the whole neighborhood come to one place when there is nothing really there?  Even worse, why is it so quiet?

Dare said in surprise,‘I didn’t notice.  It’s a lot quieter than usual, almost silent.  But I’m going to look down the street to see what’s going on.’

He ran around the corner,‘You have got to see this,’ he said stiffly.

Vi looked and gasped.  The crowd was surrounded by a large translucent semi-sphere.  Plus, no one was moving at all.  Some people were in mid jump trying to see over the heads of other people.  All of a sudden, she remembered her parents.  Where were they?  She dashed of to her house.

‘Vi! Wait up!‘  But she kept running, she stopped in front of her house with Dare gasping for breath behind her.  Slowly she walked to the front door and inserted the key.  As she opened the door she saw the lights still on and the fan still running, but her parents were no where to be seen.

‘Vi, remember your parents are at a dinner, they’re fine don’t worry.’

Vi still stood in one place, surveying the room.

‘Come on Vi we’ve got to get out of here.  Obviously somethings not right.  Vi, come on,’ he said softly.

Suddenly, a voice boomed throughout the neighborhood. ‘Hollow and Scarlet, show yourselves now I mean no harm!’

They peered out of the window and saw a woman holding, wait, was that a crossbow?  It rested on her shoulder and was around two meters in length.  She was a tall woman and had long, dark hair falling behind her.  Probably in her 20‘s, Vi thought.  Cautiously, they walked outside and up to the woman.

‘No time to explain now you’ll understand later,’ she rushed.  She pointed the crossbow at them and the last thing they saw before they passed out was a ball of light erupting from the barrel firing straight at them.

Dare woke up sleepily on a bench.  He gazed up to the sky and saw the London Eye, the biggest ferris wheel in England, towering over on his right.  He caught sight of Vi lying on another bench not far from his.  Why were they in London?  Where was that woman?  He groaned and passed out again.

Vi woke suddenly but kept her eyes closed, she knew they were in some kind of dining place because she could here the sound of cutlery.  She picked up a conversation and noticed the voice of the woman.

‘Alright, I got the kids here safely, what next?
