"Teagen, Carmen Post!" Mike shouts through the house.
This intrigued me a lot, I never get post apart from on my birthday and even then it was just cards from the other kids in the house that had put them in the letter box. I ran down the stairs as fast as my legs would carry only one thought in my head. One person.
I ripped the letter with my name on it from Mikes hand and tore it open. I read It through but it was just some rubbish from the council about a kids election they wanted me to be part of. My eyes glossed over and I felt the tears threatening to fall.
"It's not personal Teagen, He hasn't contacted me either." Frank reassures me.
"It's like he's just forgotten about us. We went through stuff together the three of us and he doesn't even seem to care." I rant.
Me and Liam had moved from care home to foster parents to care home more times then I cared to remember not that his and Franks pranks ever helped. Me and Liam were there when Franks granddad died and yet none of that seemed to matter to Liam anymore.
"He's clearly got different priorities now." Frank replied seeming just as angry as I was.
"I hate him." I whispered.
"Hey, why don't you bin that stupid letter and come and play pool." frank said trying to cheer me up.
"Fine but if I win I'm going to know you went easy on me." I laugh.
I take the letter and throw it in the bin and then make my way over to the pool table, things were going as well as could be and with me up against Frank it was at least somewhat of a fair match since we would both usually get beat by Liam.
"You're not great at Pool are you?" Franks laughs after he beats me for a second time.
"Look Liam didn't exactly teach me, in fact he took great delight in beating me." I moaned.
"Well it gives me someone to beat for once, Johnny gets bored after a while." He jokes.
"That's cause Johnny is an idiot." I mock since me and Johnny don't get a long.
"Another game then?" Frank asks.
"Fine but I am going to beat you this time." I replied confidently.
We started up another game of pool and we were talking about Liam a lot which was nice since I haven't really spoken about him since he left.
"You two have been there hours. Me and Toby want to play." Johnny whined as he came into the living room.
"I'm not really that bothered, we could play a game instead." Toby replied not wanting to upset anyone.
"It hasn't been hours, we've only had two games." I defend me and frank.
"I don't want to play a game Toby, I want to play pool." Johnny moans.
"Fine have the table I can't listen to him whinging." Frank says throwing his pool cue on the table. I do the same and glare over at Johnny who just seems to be oblivious.
"LUNCH!!" Gina shouted through the house which made me laugh a little.
I went to the table along with Frank and sat down in my Chair between Toby and Carmen. We all ate but Mike wouldn't let us leave the table when we finished.
"Right everyone, before you go there is something important I have to tell you." Mike starts.
"Are we going on holiday?"
"Are we going on an airplane?"
"Or a boat?"
"Are we going camping?"
"or to a village."
"Or maybe the countryside again? Remember when Tee let all them sheep out?"
"Are we going to Spain?"
"Are we going to Space." Were all questions that came from the excited crowd of Kids.
"No Tyler we are not going to space." Mike informed him. "but we are going to the beach tomorrow."
"Tee!! We need to plan our outfits." Carmen says excitedly to her best friend.
"Mike have we got sun cream and bug spray. If someone gets stung by a jelly fish you have to wee on their foot." Toby informs us has he flips through a medical journal he brought to the table (He though he had a stroke cause he couldn't feel his arm but he had pins and needles.
"We have all of the above Toby and I doubt anyone is going to get stung by a jellyfish." Mike tells him.
Everyone broke out into their own conversations and left the table to go up to their rooms. I looked around to see that I was the only one still sat at the table. I quickly made my way up to my room and dived onto my beanbag.
