Truth

"what is she doing here?" I ask noticing my social worker sitting in the office.

"She's come to talk to you about what happened yesterday." Tracy informs me.

"Where's Mike?" I ask.

"I've rung him but he's out at the shops. Don't worry I am going to come with you until he gets back." I go into the office with Tracy and Megan.

"Teagen, Mr Goodwin has spoken to the school about what happened yesterday and now I need you to tell me what happened." She tells me.

"I am not telling you anything." I argue.

"You have too."

"I don't have to tell you anything." I say looking up at Tracy.

"Of course not, you can talk to me or we can wait until mike gets back." Tracy tells me.

"I don't think you two see how serious this is, they are looking to expell you from school. I can't help you if you don't tell me what is going on." Megan argues.

"After Yesterday?" I say with a small laugh. "I am not telling you anything."

"You have to, what will your brothers think. Not only did you throw a chair at a teacher but you won't even tell us why." Megan asks.

"Megan go upstairs." Tracy tells me.

I leave the room but I can hear her having a go at Megan.

"you don't get to talk to her like. You can't just use her brothers as leverage to get whatever you want. If Teagen doesn't want to talk to you about what happened then you leave it." Tracy says before leaving the office. 

"You should be upstairs." She says shooting me a disapproving look but I can tell she isn't really mad.

"Thank you."

"It's fine, go on go upstairs and when Mike gets back I will talk to him." Tracy tells me.

I go upstairs and flop down on my bed, God I hated my social worker. How much did she want to bring my brothers into this completely unrelated event. I know she's trying to make me feel guilty but honestly she doesn't need to, I already feel bad.

It wasn't long before Megan was standing in my door way.

"Go Away!" I shout at her.

"I just want you to talk to me." She replies.

"I told you I am not going to tell you anything." I tell her. "Now go away!"

"Megan I really think you should leave." Tracy says running in to my room.

"She's uncontrollable, you need to sort her out." Megan tells her.

"So what if I am uncontrollable, you shouldn't be trying to control kids we don't have to do everything you say."

"Your life would be a lot easier if you listened to people."

The more she talked and she did carry on trying to talk to me the angry I got and the more Tracy was trying to calm me down but It was not working.

"Tracey, leave her yeah." Mike says who has just come up the stairs.

"But..." Tracy Starts

"I know but she needs to get the anger out or its gonna boil up."

"Oh so you condone this violence now then. What if she actually hurt one of us?" Megan questions.

Mike's Pov:

"What if she actually hurt one of us?" As soon as those words left Megan's mouth Teagen dropped to the floor and started sobbing. I walked over and sit behind her pulling her into a hug.

"I wouldn't." She mumbled trough floods of tears.

"I know, I know you wouldn't." I say hugging her tighter.

"Look Megan, get out of here. I told you yesterday you are no longer Teagen's social worker so don't bother coming back." 

Tracy takes Megan from the room and I focus by attention back to Teagen. I sat with her for a considerable amount of time before she calmed down.

"I wouldn't have hurt anyone. I was trying to calm down but she just kept going on and on about yesterday and I didn't want to talk to her. Not after what she said." Teagen told me.

"It's ok Teagen, she had no right to be here. I told you we can talk when your ready." he tells me.

"It's going to sound stupid."

"It won't, it mattered to you so we want to know what happened."

"we've never got along. I dunno I guess I was being stupid and talking back because I thought it was unfair and I know I shouldn't have but it just sort of happens and then I can't go back. He sent me out for being disruptive and I calmed down. He came in and started lecturing me and then he was mumbling about me in French, so I got really angry but he said no one would believe me anyway." Teagen tells me, I can see her getting annoyed as she stands up.

"Teagen, come and sit back down." I tell her but I didn't move since I didn't want her to feel forced.

"No, No I told him. I told him that's what Harley said and here I am but where was he. Did you know, Do you know where he is?" She asks becoming angrier.

"Teagen." I call trying to grab her attention. Of course I knew what she was going to say but I never wanted her to find out.

"He's off living it up in Spain with parents that are looking to adopt him. How? How is that fair Mike? How does he get to go to Spain? I nearly got locked up because of him and he's chilling in Spain with a new family that probably get him whatever he wants." She says throwing a frame across the room.

"Teagen, he's not living in Spain. They've gone to see family, He's couldn't live here anymore and the only other place was a foster family." I explained. 

There was a small silence between us, then she picked up the now smashed picture placing it on her desk.

"I can get that fixed for you." I tell her.

"what's the point, they hate me anyway."

"That's not true, don't listen to Megan."

"It's probably the only thing she is ever right about. I haven't heard from Liam since he left and I haven't heard from Jack since we saw him at the police station. It's obvious neither of them care."

"Look Jack didn't want me to say anything because he didn't want to let you down again but he calls often and asks how you are. They both care a lot about you." 

Teagen's Pov:

Mike went off to pick up the kids a little while ago. It felt better having talked to him, I was scared that it only proved Megan's point that I was impulsive and unpredictable but Mike didn't see it like that.

As soon as I heard the front door fly open the house descended into loud chaos. I could hear people shouting and talking, people running all over the house and then my bedroom door swung open.

"Mike said Megan's been a bitch." Jody says giving me a massive hug. I chuckled a little at the bluntness of her words.

"Ok maybe he didn't put it like that but he goes 6 times round the house to get to the point and that's basically what he meant." She told me.

A/N - I really struggled with this because i know some of you will see it as a big drama over nothing. I know that what she is hiding doesn't seem like that big of a deal but for Teagen it would be. She doesn't trust Megan and who would after the day before. No one believing her would of played on her mind and i did try and explain why she didn't want to tell anyone.
