"You Ok?" Liam asked as we sat watching Tv.
"Yeah I'm fine." I lied.
"You seem like your off in your own little world. We can do something different if this is boring." He tells me.
"No, Honestly I'm just thinking about a school project I have to do tonight."
"Really, why you this focused on it? You could of done it this morning and we could have met up later." Liam tells me.
"No look I'm sorry Liam. I just I have to meet up with ... my project partner later. I'm just not sure if I am ready." I explain.
"What do you mean your not ready? it's just a project."
"I just, I don't know if I want to. What if he gets the wrong impression or something?" I ask nervously.
"You worried about getting hurt? I know your scared but not everyone is like Harley. Just because your meeting up with him doesn't mean he's going to want to do anything more than the project." Liam tries to reassure me.
"Your probably right, come on lets go play pool. I haven't played in so long." I say trying to change the subject.
We both got up and went over to the pool table, I was trying harder to concentrate on what I was doing but I was constantly worried about this afternoon. Liam seemed to understand though and even went easy on me at pool.
"I know you let me win." I say.
"How do you know that?" He asks.
"Because I won. I have never won a game of pool against you in my life. Never even come close." I reply.
"Well maybe you just got really good at pool while I was away."
"I doubt it. I never really play." I reply.
||That afternoon||
I went to the Library to meet up with Dylan, they guy I was supposed to be doing my science project with. I was nervous but I went over and sat with him and he barely even looked up from the computer he was working on until I started talking about the project.
"Sorry, yeah I am trying to do a little research. Seems more complicated then I thought it would be when we picked this subject." He tells me.
"what opposed to the others that were so much easier?" I asked sarcastically. "We will be fine."
We both started working hard on computers next to each other. I guess Liam was right the only thing on Dylan's mind was clearly the school project, I didn't really even talk to me while we researching our topics we only came together at the end to talk it through and combine them together into one Project.
A/N - Not sure if i like this chapter. 🤷♀️I started with something very different but I wanted to save that for later on in the story but also didn't want to get rid of the first half of what i had written so i turned it into this slightly weird chapter. It gets better from here I promise.🤣🤣
