"Tracy!" I hear Sapphire call from the kitchen.
I go in to see what was happening since I am nosy.
"What?" Tracy asks.
"Gina's had to go out to the shop to get that special medicine for Gus. Your in charge which means dinner." Sapphire tells her.
Gus is so particular about everything, even his medicine, he has some sort of pills but he won't take them, the only thing he will have is the orange tasting calpol, not the orange coloured, not the Lemon or any other flavour it has to be the orange tasting calpol in the brown bottle with a screw lid.
"Right, I'm busy settling him at the moment, your in charge of dinner. There is a couple of pizzas in the fridge, stick them in and I will be down in a minute." Tracy tells her running off to Gus' beckoning Call.
"Euggh why am I always stuck with it." She says going over to the fridge and taking out the Pizza's.
"I'll do it, I love cooking." Toby offers and so he is left to make dinner.
I make my way back into the living room where Carmen, Tee, Johnny, Harry and Frank are. I slouch down next to Tee on the sofa and start watching this weird kids show that is on the TV. I would turn it over but it would only cause a fight and I think Tracy has enough to deal with.
It wasn't long before the girls started arguing and everyone had come to see what all the chaos was about, with Tracy still upstairs there was nothing stopping them. Until we heard the fire alarm, we all raced into the kitchen, Toby took the oven gloves and pulled the tray out which had somehow caught fire. He quickly dropped it on the floor as the oven glove lit up. I yanked it from his arm and threw it into the sink turning the tap on to kill the fire.
Only when I turned around it looked like the floor was now on fire as everyone stood round watching.
"For god sake. Water you idiots put the fire out." I shout at them.
We started pouring buckets of water of it and thankfully the fire soon went out just as Tracy appeared.
"Why was the alarm going off." She asks suspiously.
"Nothing." I quickly said.
"It dosen't go off for nothing, there must have been some sort of fire or smoke." She told me.
"Yeah well you weren't anywhere to be seen were you we could have all burnt to death." I say getting angry that she could blame us.
"Enough Teagen, I need to know if something happened." Tracy told me.
"Well maybe the Board Would like to know you left an 11 year old to cook dinner." I argued storming off to my room.
"TEAGEN!" I heard Gus call.
I let out a big sigh hitting my head on my wall as I realised who it was. I wasn't in the mood to deal with Gus but if I didn't he would only be calling all night.
"Yes Gus." I say walking over to his bedroom.
"Why were you shouting at Tracy?"
"Enough alright Gus, just get some sleep."
"Enough? I only asked one question which you did not answer." He tells me.
"Is Tracy getting fired?" He then asks.
"No why." I questioned back.
"The fire alarm went off and then you were shouting and I heard you say something about the board" He explained.
"Look I just got a bit upset with Tracy, I didn't mean it was a hypothetical thing." I tell him.
"Ok." He smiles.
"Can you rub my head like Mike does, Tracy doesn't do it properly." He moans.
"That's cause you don't let her do it." I reply.
"Cause she does it wrong. She does big circles, it's little circles."
Smirk a little at his preciseness. I take a seat next to him on the bed and put one hand on his head rubbing it in little circles.
"Teagen can I have a word." Tracy asks.
"Only one person in my room I am trying to sleep." Gus moans.
"Come and find me after." She says.
It takes a while before Gus finally falls asleep.
