Love is a Battle Part 4
Tiffany let the door closed behind her and lazily took off her shoes. She sighed, coming back home to an empty house yet again, or so she thought.
She made her way to the living room, lazily dragging her feet. Her eyes widen when she saw the familiar figure sitting at the couch, texting away, the person she was longing for, for the past few days. She automatically smiled.
"You're back." Tiffany said.
Taeyeon looked up and saw Tiffany. "Hey." She greeted back before focusing back on her phone.
Tiffany was disappointed. But nevertheless, she was just happy that Taeyeon was back. She took a seat beside her, silent observing Taeyeon, just enjoying the fact that she could see Taeyeon again.
Taeyeon felt the other end of the couch dipping and realised that Tiffany had taken a seat. She let it be. She was too busy texting her brother. She smiled at her phone when she read the joke that her brother made.
Tiffany saw the smile and suddenly she felt jealous. "Who's that?" It came out naturally.
"Huh?" Taeyeon was still smiling. She sends her reply and looked at Tiffany. "You were saying?"
"Who are you texting?" Tiffany smiled. She was jealous but she didn't want to be obvious. She just wanted to sound like a concern friend.
"Someone." Taeyeon smiled back and checked her phone for reply.
She's hiding things from me. Did she really move on? Tiffany can't help but to question herself. "Who?" Tiffany was persistent to know, forgetting the fact that Taeyeon isn't hers anymore.
"Somebody. Why do you need to know who?" Taeyeon didn't like Tiffany possessive tone towards her.
Tiffany snorted. She didn't expect Taeyeon to be hiding things from her. "Is it that new Thai girl?" She can't help herself. She has read the news but she just chose not to believe it. "Whatever her name is." She rolled her eyes.
Taeyeon widened her eyes at what she just heard. She didn't expect Tiffany to bring that up and she hated the tone that Tiffany was using. After all, that girl was innocent and she didn't even do anything wrong towards Tiffany.
"Her name is Janhae and she's very nice." Said Taeyeon.
Tiffany's heart broke when she heard it. But not one to back down, she retort back. "Wow, now you're even defending her. It's her isn't it?" She didn't mean to pick a fight with Taeyeon but she was feeling jealous and she can't help it.
Taeyeon didn't answer that. She didn't feel the need to answer that. Instead, she took her phone and pretended to be busy. She was tired from her flight and to be suddenly interrogated by Tiffany like this, was pissing her off.
"It's her isn't it?" Tiffany asked again when she didn't get any answer.
Taeyeon heaved a frustrating sigh. "Look, Fany. We are not together anymore. What I do, who I date, who I'm texting with, having nothing to do with you anymore." She took a deep breath, it hurts her to say those words to Tiffany but if she wanted Tiffany to move on and be happy, she needs to draw a line. "I don't need to report everything to you anymore cause you're not mine and I'm not yours."
