Our Futures
"Fany?" Taeyeon calls out as she kept flipping the plastic packaging in her hands. "What is this?" She asked as she places the packaging closer to her eyes and tried to read the English words on the packaging. "Su-su...gar...sugar. Po...pova. Sugarpova?"
Tiffany switches her phone to airplane mode before placing it in her bag. She then turned to Taeyeon who was next to her. They were on a flight back to Seoul after ending their concert in Fukuoka. "Ahh... The fans gave it to me. I hadn't open it yet." She answered Taeyeon.
"What is it? There's like colorful tennis balls inside." Taeyeon said excitedly as she showed Tiffany the packaging.
"It's candies." Tiffany took Taeyeon's hand and stop the mini swinging in front of her. "You know Sharapova, the tennis player? The person you loves to imitate last time?"
"Like this? Ugh!" Taeyeon grunted as she swung her left arm, as if she was swinging a tennis racket, doing the imitation she always does in variety show. It was one of the talent she used to prepare for variety shows.
"Yes, that." Tiffany chuckles softly at the dorkiness of her girlfriend. "Anyway, she's the one who launch this candy." She pointed at the plastic packaging again. "You can have it if you want."
"Really? But the fans gave it to you."
"So? Don't we always share our stuff? Like how you always give me whatever pink stuff that the fans gave it to you?"
"Alright then." Taeyeon placed the packet of sweet on her lap before moving her hands stealthily towards Tiffany. She hooked their pinkies together. "You want to take a nap?"
Tiffany shook her head. "Nope, you?"
Taeyeon shook her head too. "If you're not sleeping. I don't want too then."
"Alright. What you want to do? You want to eat something?"
"Let's just wait for the in-flight meal?"
"Ok." Tiffany agreed.
"For now shall we just talk? Like just talking?" Taeyeon said. It had been days and even weeks eversince they got back together. But with all the pretense and acts in front of their members, managers and public, she felt like she hadn't talked to Tiffany for weeks. She felt a little distant.
"About?"
Taeyeon shrugged. "I don't know. Random things. Since we got back together again, let's start with knowing more about ourselves?" She suggested.
"What?" Tiffany was surprised with the suggestion. She don't mind talking with Taeyeon but she just find that the topic a little too funny. After all, they have known each other for 10 years, what more to do they need to know about each other. They could practically looked at each other and knew what the other person was thinking. And they could practically write a whole list of what the other half likes or don't, each other habits and so on.
"Come on, it'll be fun." Taeyeon leaned towards Tiffany, nudging Tiffany with her shoulder.
"Don't you have other things to talk about?"
