He likes me?!

Jungkook and Jessica were walking along the practice rooms, with silence which would be the best to describe the atmosphere. The maknae's brain was filled with a question which he was hesitating to ask the girl moving next to her, being not sure enough what would he end up making her think, he finally asked.

"Wanna ask something, if you don't mind, I mean its not like I really care but just out of curios--"

"Just say it." The girl beside her spoke as she lazily dragged her feet and eyes laying straight to the opposite direction.

He looked at her before he said,

"I saw you back then when I had visited the collage for the graduation certificate. You were with a guy hanging around and you know, you guys seemed pretty close." He said eyeing her reactions carefully.

"Now don't lie to me and just answer truly, you guys were a thing right?"
He asked all of a sudden and made the girl beside him to turn with a perplexed look and a questionable expression in her eyes that threw an are you serious look.

"I think you're watching a lot of dramas nowadays baby kook. The guy you are talking about is Park Jihoon, one of the talented and nice guy in our collage. And fyi he was the one who improved my contemporary."

Jungkook's mouth agape a little at the words he just heard, mind denying the fact that Jessica just credited someone else for her dance.

But before he could say something she spoke again,
"And yes, he was a very good friend, we were just close before he confe...
before I left the place...a kind and helpful boy unlike someone who keeps bugging around with his best friend." She said as she threw a glare at him.

"Ye ye...Whatever. That's maybe how you feel but I can assure you that he had something else in his mind. I'm not a fool to not notice what was going on alright. I saw how he stared at you during your practice."

He said with confidence which reminded Jessica of the day he has confessed to her. How she told him that he is the most dearest friend to her and that she never saw him as anything more than that.

The more she thought, the more her mind kept on asking the reason behind it. How for this stupid guy near her she rejected him. And how this guy is now her best friend.

"It's quite normal but aren't you being too bothered?" She asked turning towards him.

"I am bothered because I care, a guy should always be bothered about the things going on with his best friend."
He said with a large grin and the cutest expression ever.

"Its not about him...but you know...who would even think bout a messy girl like me." She said with a voice which had a soft and sad tone.

Jungkook almost laughed internally thinking how foolish this girl is to assume an irrelevant fact like this, when his closest hyung has such feelings for her.

"Oh! so that's how you think, oh my little idiot, you really don't know what's going on around, do you?" He asked wrapping his arms around her shoulders.

"Going on...what's going on around?" She asked with curiosity filling her lungs and eyes searching Jungkook's for an answer.

"Jess, look. I honestly don't care what you think, cause you're an amazing girl, and more than anything...you're my best friend." He said as if he was cheering her up as he held her shoulders gently.
Jessica heart skipped a beat at his words, she wanted him to continue.

"But.."
"But?" She asked.
And Jungkook finally thought of saying.
"But my friend is a lil stupid to not even understand an obvious thing going on around her. Well not a lil stupid but a big dumbhead, I mean seriously Jess you really don't know what's happening?" He said bending his head down to look at her.

She moved a bit faster, ignoring his question she said, "Look I don't know what you're talking abo--"

Jungkook thought for a split second that she would eventually come to know about it, so better he would open up. He wanted her to know that she isn't the girl she thinks she is, she is someone amazing that guys would love to be around with.

"He likes you...Jimin hyung likes you Jess." He said his voice almost inaudible.

"What? Ya...you know I hate this kind of jokes, haha! That wasn't funny at all." She said before turning her back towards him and waving her hands in a gesture to leave.

"I ain't joking now, its the truth Jess. Whether you believe or not, but that's what going on." He said shoving his hands in his sweatpants as he waited for her reaction.

Jessica stood there dumb, expressionless and eyes bit wider as she tried to digest the boy's words one after another. She was going to deny it but the moment the scenes of Jimin staring at her with a soft gaze, made her mind to requestion herself.

She didn't want to accept it, because this would end things in a bad way. What will happen if her own friend, Mini comes to know bout it, what about her feelings.

"Um...Oh! I forgot PDnim had called me earlier for the recording secession...we'll talk bout it later, okay bye then!"

She said with a tensed expression and hurried before the boy threw some more words which she definitely didn't wanted to hear.

"Hey...wait, you can't just run away...Jess?" He jogged after her but the panicking girl had already disappeared in the hallways.
