“Are we really doing this?” Liam asks

“Are we really doing this?” Liam asks. His expression tells me that he is all but okay with the plan Scott and Stiles just came up with.

“We’re doing it. Tonight.”

“Can this at least wait until tomorrow?” I whine. “I’m mid-dramatic teenage rebellion and this just kind of ruins my plans.”

Stiles’ eyes go wide in exasperation, “no! We need to find out who the Benefactor is as soon as possible.”

“But isn’t it kind of dangerous?” Liam backs me up.

“Yeah, it’s incredibly dangerous. And borderline idiotic.”

My hand flies up to the bridge of my nose as I try to suppress my annoyance. “Then why are we doing it?”

“Hm, I don’t know, Sunny. Why did you attack Violet with nothing but a lacrosse stick?” Stiles replies sarcastically.

“Have you guys done something like this before?”

The way Scott and Stiles blink after Liam’s question already gives me a clue of what the answer will be. “Something dangerous? Or something idiotic?”

“I think it’s a yes to both,” Kira is not too keen on the idea either.

“You guys don’t have to do this if you don’t want to.”

Liam looks to Scott in alarm, “I’m not scared.”

Stiles puts a hand on his shoulder, “then you’re borderline idiotic.”

 “This isn’t going to work."

"Okay. Fine. Don't help us then."

"No, you're not thinking this through!" I exclaim. "Now, I have no clue what kind of bullcrap you guys have been able to make excuses for in the past but how the heck are you going to explain dying and coming back to life an hour later?"

"She has a point," Kira remarks. "The hospital's going to be swarming with parents getting their kids checked out after yesterday. They'll all hear about it and start spreading rumors. The news will be all over it. Plus, how do we know the Benefactor will come with onlookers everywhere?"

Liam frowns, “how do we know they will show even with nobody around?”

Scott gives a disappointed "hmph" and stops to think. "The tape from Garrett’s bag said visual confirmation required."

“Simon said the same thing. We need someone to actually look dead.”

“Preferably someone high on the list,” Scott is obviously talking about himself.

"The plan's not bad," I admit after a moment of thought. "But we need to find a way to go through with it without making it a public affair."

"And how are we supposed to do that?" Stiles asks.
