SCENE: Storybrooke. Present. Day. Regina leads Henry and now Will to the school bus. Snow teaches to her class again. In the Mayor office, Regina unpack her stuff. She burns Mary Margaret's picture. At the Charming Family's loft, Granny looks after Neal. Emma says goodbye to her brother and leaves. She joins Hook. They meet Belle at the library. Emma leaves Hook and Belle. SCENE: Storybrooke. Present. The Library. They try to figure out how release the fairies from the hat. Six weeks and still nothing.

"Look, we just have to keep at it, okay? But we will find a spell to release the fairies. I mean, these translations are difficult, but I've reached out to some of the finest minds in the world, and one of them will get back to us. I know it."

SCENE: Great Neck, Long Island. Present. Gold and Ursula arrive before a huge house. Its where they get Cruella De Vil. SCENE: Storybrooke. Present. Regina's office. Regina was feeling bad that there was nothing on the author yet. Emma was talking to her when Hook and Belle came in.

"There may be a way to get the fairies out." Hook said. "Yeah, I, uh, I found an incantation. It's, uh, it's part of a spell in, uh, an ancient tongue I've never seen before. Which made translation a challenge. Belle: But I did it. I found a perfect of linguistics from Oxford, and he just e-mailed me with the translation. It's an ancient ceremony, but, uh, one that'll bring them back. I, uh, I just need you to enact it." She handed the paper and the dagger to Regina. "Ceremony, huh? Well, madame mayor, ready to pronounce today 'Free the fairies day'?" Emma asked joking.

SCENE: Storybrooke. Present. The woods. Regina performs the ceremony/spell and successfully gets the fairies out. Blue thanked her and thanked Hook for trying to warn them. They didn't notice a black smoke that also leaked out of the  box.

SCENE: Land Without Magic. Gold led them the rest of the way on foot. He had a tie on a tree marking where the barrier that you couldn't enter or see was. He explained his plan which involved him not being near them when they were allowed in town.

SCENE: Storybrooke. Present. Granny's. Hook was in the back hall when Emma came to talk to him. He was feeling bad about the fairies getting trapped in there and it was for a little over a month too. Emma reassured him and corrected him saying it wasn't his fault. In the diner part, Regina and Henry talked to Blue about the mansion and their mission.

"It's not crazy at all. But you're looking for the wrong person. Although the sorcerer is a very powerful wizard, you should be looking for the author." Blue explained. Emma joined them and she was confused. "Aren't they the same person?" Regina then spoke up, "Why would the sorcerer have the author's books?" Blue tried to explain the best he could. "That is a quite perplexing question. And I'm afraid I do not know. But I do know that they are two very different people. I don't know who the author is, But I do know he exists. I mean, if he is a 'He'. I've never actually seen him. In fact, no one has. Not for many years. But there are whispers that he left hidden clues in some of his works." This caught Emma's attention, "You mean, works like Henry's book?" She asked and then a monster outside shrieks.

SCENE: Storybrooke. Present. Outside Granny's Diner. The monster is on the clock's tower. Everyone else on the street is running away. Belle, Hook, Emma, Regina, Snow, and David are there. It launches itself towards the group and tries to attack Hook. The groups ducks and runs but the claws cut Hook's arm.

"Did that thing come out of the hat?! I thought the spell was only supposed to release the fairies." Regina complained. Snow suggested that it could be some kind of fairy. "Why don't we just put it back in the hat and figure out the rest later?" Emma said. "Because we can't. Once something's freed, it can never be re-trapped." Belle told them. Emma and Regina combined their magic to fire at the beast. "Well, that was easy." Emma said. The monster flew away after getting hit. "Don't get excited. We only stunned it. And a blast like that should've destroyed it." Regina complained. "I was just getting used to things being relaxing around here." Belle was going to head back to the library to see about the creature, Snow was going to  get everyone to safe places. Hook was going to tend to his arm and Regina and Emma were gonna work together too.
