Chapter 7: I Love You

Hades paced with his armour clanking and creaking together, he let out a long weary sigh as the gust of breeze caught his cape that was hitting along the black marble floor, his foot tapped irritably as he regretted agreeing to return to work today. The last thing he wanted to do was; work, when the only thing spinning through his mind was his wife, his heart craved to stay with Seph, in bed or at the garden with her, alone- he felt annoyance fill his mind but he tried to push it away.

His ears perked at the soft footsteps behind him, he saw a navy-blue gown trailing like his cape, his eyes traveled up seeing the gown hug her curvaceous hips and waist tightly pushing her creamy breast up, her autumn hair was being braided intricately with the use of her skilled fingers, the heavy mass fell on her slender shoulder making him want to run his fingers through it and leave it open like last night, her face was glowing a soft rose and he knew the cause of that flush, his mind swam with images of his time spent alone with Seph; and he had no idea how he would concentrate today.

She smiled so warmly causing his heart to flutter, but he hid it with a slight smile, her amber eyes were filled with so much love and warmth, no one looked at Hades like she did, and honestly, she was all he cared about.

"You take my breath away, my dear," he whispered making her smile awkwardly while deepening the blush. "I have a gift."

"A gift?" she puzzled.

Hades guided her to a mirror and swiped his hand over her head. Suddenly, a crystal crown appeared and placed itself perfectly on her head.

Persephone stared wide-eyed at the beautifully crafted crown on her head, the mystical sapphire crystals glowed with sacred enchantment, there were small silver flowers laying elegantly around the spiky gemstones.

"It's stunning, thank you," said Persephone making Hades smile in satisfaction.

"I made it just for my Queen," he said.

Her heart danced, and now, she truly felt the weight of her position. "I love you," said Persephone quietly.

His breath stammered at those three words. "I love you too," he said while pulling her into his arms.
