The stars filled the night sky and the rolling fields disappeared passed the horizon, she recalled that this was the place Hades created for himself in the Underworld. He gently put her down in front of a lake that glowed a bright turquoise in the growing darkness.

"It truly is beautiful here," said Persephone in pure awe of the place her husband created. Knowing no one was here except them, so she boldly peeled off her dress and entered the mesmerizing water.

Hades observed his wife take in the feel of the water and enjoy serene push and pull, her slim back was covered her auburn hair falling softy down her back, he entered the water behind her feeling the natural and unique movement of the water, it relaxed every nerve in his immortal body. His wife dived into the water fearlessly swimming and gliding in the water, such a perfect sight, she got out of the water and strolled towards him in the water, her auburn hair wet and sleeked back looked so dangerously alluring, she had lost all playfulness in her amber eyes. Seph leaned into his arms that immediately snaked around her slim waist. "How'd you figure the times here?" he asked. "I don't remember telling you."

Persephone pulled away and stood in front of him, as he leaned back, his outstretched arms looked so seductive, his raven hair glistened and his scarlet eyes burned as the water droplets on his chiseled body sparkled like the stars on his pale skin, a small grin played on his lips, as he caught her staring at his body.

She smiled shyly. "The flowers tell me the time, my dear," she answered his question.

"The flowers?" he pondered.

"Flowers rest at night as they work so hard to blossom in the morning, even if they don't use sunlight, they use the energy of their King," she pointed at him. "As their King rests, so do they and since I can feel their entire being and their King's, I can tell the time pretty clearly."

Hades just stared at her wide-eyed from what she just said making her laugh briefly "I never thought about it like that, that is very interesting," he admitted astonished that his wife who came just a couple of weeks ago already figured out so much. "How did you know that the flowers thrive off my power," Hades asked wanting to know what else she knew, she stepped closer towards Hades and laid a soft kiss to his lips.

"Because I can feel you in them, as I'm connected to the plants to the very ground they grow on, I can feel your heart in each flower beat just like theirs."

Hades felt his heart squeeze at her words, he put the garden together for her, but he hadn't even considered that his power would seep into them, his wife astonished him again reminding him how fit she was to be by his side; he was only worried that if he is worthy to be by hers.

"What's wrong?" Persephone asked, but Hades just stared into her eyes in silent for a moment.

"Why did you choose to marry someone like me?" asked Hades.

The question made Persephone press her lips in a hard line. "Why do you doubt yourself?"

"I feel I am not worthy for you," Hades looked away.

"So, you would prefer me off with someone else?" Persephone caught sight of the darkness that flashed through his ruby eyes, the rage and jealously that devoured his gaze gave her an answer that put a smile on her face.

"That's what I thought," said Persephone. "Hades, I chose you and I chose this life, over time you will learn to accept it," said Persephone calmly as she cupped his cheek and skimmed her fingers down his charming face. Her fingers halted on top of his lips, and his gaze washed away all her remaining thoughts.
