3rd person P.O.V

Thomas sat on a log, playing with the necklace Newt had given him. It popped open by accident and inside was a letter. He carefully took it out and read it, crying when he finally reached the end.

"Dear Thomas,

This is the first letter I can remember writing. Obviously, I don't know if I wrote any before the Maze. But, even if it's not my first, it's likely to be my last.

I want you to know that I'm not scared. Well, not of dying, anyway. It's more forgetting. It's losing myself to this virus, that's what scares me.

So every night I've been saying their names out loud. Alby, Winston, Chuck.

And I repeat them over and over like a prayer and it all comes flooding back.

Just the little things like when the sun used to hit the Glade at that perfect moment right before it slipped beneath the walls.

And I remember the taste of Frypan's stew. I never thought I'd miss that stuff so much.

And I remember you.

I remember the first time you came up in the Box, just a scared little Greenie who couldn't even remember his own name.

From that moment you ran into the Maze, I knew I would follow you anywhere. And I have. We all have.

If I could do it all over again, I would. And I wouldn't change a thing.

My hope for you is when you're looking back, years from now, you'll be able to say the same.

The future is in your hands now, Tommy. And I know you'll find a way to do what's right. You always have.

Take care of everyone for me. And take care of yourself. You deserve to be happy.

Newt"

Raigna always touched her necklace. The diamond, the heart, the flower. Every time she did she looked up and tried to find Newt in the group of stars. She tried to find Alby, Teresa, Winston, Chuck. Turning over the flower, heart and diamond they all had an inscription on them.

The flower read "Never be afraid"

The diamond read "Never forget"

The heart read "Always smile"

And so you will never see Raigna afraid. You'll see her stand tall in the face of danger, Because of Newt. You'll never see her forget anything, Because of Winston. You'll always see her smile, Because of Gally. It's because of them she's the way she is. Strong, fearless and brave.

Minho carved his name into the stone with the knife he was given. Gone but never forgotten, he'd whisper every night to himself. Raigna ended up giving Minho Newt's backpack. When he checked it, inside wasn't much. The knife Newt used in the glade, his tank top that he wore in the glade and his water canteen.

Minho washed the shirt and cut it up, making a bracelet out of the material. He made one for not only himself but Frypan, Thomas and Raigna as well. They never took it off, everyday they had it on.

He washed the water canteen and engraved his name beside his, using the canteen as his own. But most importantly he used the knife, with whatever he did, it was always Newt's knife.

"Gone but not forgotten" they all whispered before going to sleep, every night.
