"Hey, Mom! My friend Sam is coming over to hang out!" I called out.
My mom knows I'm gay, she found out when I came home crying cuz my last bf had broken up with me for some girl named Shea.
"Okay, Don't be too loud!" My mom yelled across the house.
"He's just my friend!" I yelled, although I wish he was more..
"yeah sure!" my mom yelled
The doorbell rung, It was Sam. My mom mentioned to him that she really wanted to meet him since I talk about him so much.
Sam sat on my bed. He asked where my dad was, I told him he was in jail.
Sam sat there shocked, "Geez Im sorry." "Its ok" I said.
"What about your grandparents?" He asked. I told him I'd tell him anything he wanted.

My grandparents died of a car crash on a highway above a lake. The car ran out of control and drove straight off the bridge above the gaurd rails. It was July 4th 2015. I was so close to them, it really hit me hard.

I started to cry, Sam pulled me in a hug, "I know I'm close with my grandparents too" he said comforting me. He leaned over and caressed my cheek, "It's ok" he said in a soft voice as he wiped my tears with his thumb. That made me calm down a little.
I saw my sleeves rolling up so I tugged them down hoping he wouldn't notice. He saw and pulled them up not thinking. He held me closer and asked if there was more so I was going to trust him and show him my thighs. He didn't judge, he told me how he used to too.

I was happy he understood but it's sad he had to go through something like that I didn't ask why he cut cuz I know it's a sensitive subject like his grandparents death, I didn't want him to have to feel bad for not wanting to say everything so quickly. Man I wish he knew. I hugged him tighter. "You're my favorite person." I told him, he smiled, "You're mine too"
