(Y/n)'s POV
The next two days passed swimmingly besides the constant texting. For a guy who I never see on his phone, he sure texts a lot. My phone buzzed in my pocket on the way to the library that Thursday afternoon. I had scheduled it later, per his begging request.
Apparently baseball is very demanding.
He was such an asshole.
I pulled my phone from my pocket. It was a picture of Dean making an obscene gesture in the library. I rolled my eyes before noticing the librarian looking over at him, disgusted, from the background. I let out a snort, shaking my head and putting it back in my pocket. At least he showed up on time.
The past two days we had been texting, and honestly it wasn't as nearly annoying. I think it's just because of the obnoxious smirky tone I can't hear as much over text. I entered the library, seeing him with his Spanish notes and book laid out neatly on the table.
"Prepared this time I see," glancing at the clock. 5 minutes early.
"Oh yes, I'm very prepped and ready," he replied and I scrunched up my face at the innuendo he was sporting.
"Yeah okay, Spanish time."
"Tiempo de Español," he replied and I gave an impressed look.
Spanish time."So...Mrs. Mills gave us this sheet today and I'm stupid as fuck so." I sat down across from him, pulling out my own stuff.
"This is easy, I promise. It's just a review of conjugations."
"Conju-what?"
"Verbs. In English it's like she cooks, I cook. The verb has different endings." He nodded, seeming to understand.
I loved tutoring.
Even if it was Dean, I at least got to help someone learn. That 'aha' moment of seeing something click for someone makes my heart swell. I didn't mind spending time after school to help.
"Okay so-"
"Conjugations are different for tenses. Looking at it extremely simply there's past, present, and future, and in each there's different ones, but this is just the main three," I said. "So what does this sentence say?"
"Uhhh...yesterday I 'blank' to the store," he said.
"Okay so past, present or future?"
"Past."
"Okay so to conjugate the verb ir, to go, to say went, use the preterite."
"Okay so..." he flipped through his packet. "Fue?"
"Yes!" I replied and he scratched it down. He had pretty nice handwriting. He did a couple more, looking to me for help a few times until he finished. "See not hard."
"I guess I just don't pay attention that well in that class," he replied, rubbing the back of his neck. It would've looked innocent if he hadn't worn a devilish looking grin towards the table. I grew uncomfortable and cleared my throat.
"Next Thursday?" I asked. He glanced up and nodded, the grin softened. "I'll see you then." I stood up and his eyes followed. I suddenly regretted my choice in attire for the day. A simple tank and flannel seemed almost too risqué in front of Dean's watchful eyes. I gave a tight lipped smile and a nod, slinging my backpack over my shoulder as I walked off.
My mother was using my car while hers was in the shop, so I'd either have to walk home or hitch a ride from someone else. I glanced to the clock. I still had a solid hour before Charlie's book club ended and she could cart me home in her cute little yellow car. It was close to 100 degrees today, but I had homework and other things to do. I couldn't wait for Charlie.
