Hey

(y/n)'s POV

"I'm leaving mom!" I called and she almost immediately met me at the door.

"Oh have fun honey!"

"I will, thanks mom," I replied, tucking my hands in my pockets. Dean had requested that I let him decide where to go despite the fact that I was the one who asked him out. He had told me to wear something comfortable so I went with jeans and a flannel like I normally wore. From the sound of it we were going somewhere not suitable for a dress, not that I really wanted to wear one anyways. I walked over to the Winchester household and knocked, adjusting my purse strap to lay across my body. Sam opened the door, looking at me strangely.

"Dean!" He called and I gave him a soft smile as a thank you. Dean stumbled down the stairs, looking oddly sweaty and terribly clumsy.

"Uh, were you bit by something?" I asked, looking him up and down.

"What? UH no!" he replied, lightly shoving Sam before exiting and slamming the door behind him. He placed a hand against my back and lightly brushed me towards his car.

"You sure you're good?" I asked and he nodded. "You're sweating buckets. Are you nervous?"

"Me? Nervous? Never."

"It's okay if you are, I am too," I replied and he glanced at me.

"Yeah okay. I'm nervous," he replied, though I could tell it wasn't that. I dropped it and let him open the passenger's side door for me to sit down. He nearly slammed the door on my lagging foot when he shut it. I gave him a sick look, imagining what would've gone down if that did happen.

"I know you'd rather die, but do you want me to drive? Or we can reschedule? You seriously don't look to good and I mean that in the nicest way possible."

"No, no, I'm good," he said, starting the car and I nodded, buckling my seat belt. Despite how he was acting he drove smoothly and seemed to calm down. I let out a breath and reached over to take his closest hand, letting him drive with the other. His fingers linked with mine and I glanced out the window with a pink face.

"So where exactly are you taking me?" I asked, eyeing the road. I hadn't been paying too much attention to our route.

"The woods."

"To murder me?" I joked.

"No, no, it's a surprise."

"You know I would've been happy with whatever," I mentioned and he nodded. "Just as long as you actually are present on the date."

"Sorry, just a lot on my mind right now."

"Well tell me," I replied, eyeing him and he frowned slightly.

"It's just Azazel, he's really been getting on my nerves," he replied. I could tell it was kind of about me, considering issues with Azazel have only seemed to arise because of me. I nodded.

"Have you ever considered breaking it off with him?" I asked and he sighed.

"I've been trying, but he doesn't seem to take the hint," he replied and I nodded. "Whatever, this isn't something I want to talk about on our date."

"Right," I replied. I had never been out on a date before, seeing as Dean had sort of ruined that for me from the beginning. I could've been on a date with Gabe, but I've always seen him as a brother, so I haven't really had the experience. "You know this is my first date?"

"What?"

"Yeah, I know it's kind of lame. Being a senior and all," I said.

"Why not?" he asked, turning down a path and parking the car in a lot next to a trail entrance.

"Nobody has ever asked me. I guess no one has still," I replied.

"Well would you like to go on a date with me?"

"We're already on a date Dean."

"Well you're too pretty to have never been asked out," he said and I felt my ears burn.

"Oh my God," I breathed, blushing intensely.

"No seriously, how has no one ever asked you out? Baffling," he said.

"Oh dear lord, let's just go," I said, hopping out of the car. "This seems really murdery."

"It does not," he sighed. We went walking for a while before coming upon a small creek running through the trees. I sat myself on a big log, watching the water flow gently. Dean sat himself beside me, our arms resting softly against each other's.

"This is nice," I murmured and Dean held out a messily picked handful of flowers and most likely weeds. "Thank you."

I took them from his fist and we peered back at the stream. Conversation began and we ended up strolling further down the trail, laughing and throwing things at each other playfully.

"I'm so glad I didn't have to wear a dress for this. That would've made me even more nervous."

"Fair point, but I raise you me wearing a dress to this first date," he said and I snorted.

"Yeah okay that would make me more nervous. You're just not a dress person, with those bow legs," I replied and he gasped.

"How dare you mention my legs!" he called and I let out a loud laugh. We ended up looping the trail and heading to get a burger at the Road House. By the time the sun started to set I was seated back in the Impala with the window rolled down, feeling the breeze brush past and blow my hair in my face.

"So how was that for a first date?"

"I think that was very fun," I said.

"I'll have to get your opinion on a second date then," he said and I chuckled slightly, nodding.

"Sure," I replied and he smiled, pulling up into my driveway before walking me to my door. "Thanks Dean, that was really awesome and I'd like to do it again sometime."

"I would too," he replied. The sun had dipped under the horizon and I could see Dean in the glow of my porch lights. I clasped my hands together behind my back.

"Good night," I said.

"Uh, good night (y/n)," he responded, lingering. Was he going to kiss me or not? "I'll be heading out then."

"Oh come on," I huffed, gripping a hold of his jacket and pressing my lips to his. He froze for a second before placing soft hands on my waist. I felt my body go warm as I pulled away and I smiled at him. "Now good night."

"Uh, good night (y/n), I'll see you tomorrow."

"See you tomorrow," I replied, watching him hop down the steps. I smiled seeing his car drive off and I turned to open my door. I heard a soft rustle and I glanced to my right, not seeing anything. It was silent and I shrugged, figuring it was the wind. I opened my door and placed a gentle hand on my lips, heading for a shower and then bed.

I can't believe I just did that.
