(Y/n)'s POV

I shuffled down the hallway, feeling eyes on me and whispers brushing along the back of my neck and tickling at the sides of my head. My week absence was of the utmost priority for most right now. I slipped in my earbuds, listening to a summery song despite the draft sweeping over everyone's ankles from the impending winter. I approached my locker to see that they had still yet to paint over the obscene word on my locker and had covered it over with a piece of paper to match the color the best they could. I peeked behind the paper, seeing the paint sprawled over the door and pressed my lips together before opening up my locker.

I was heading towards the art room after when Azazel passed, his suspension up. He would be attending detention with Ruby for a long time still, but he had to return to school some time. He grinned devilishly at me, the hallway turning it's head to me to watch what I would do. I just smiled back at him, listening to my soft music. He seemed startled at my reaction, but at this point he had lost more than I had.

So what, kids at school knew who I was. The embarrassment had passed and Dean was keen on appeasing me the best he could. My friends still treated me the same. What was a little word and a few pictures? He had been suspended, has detention everyday for about the rest of the semester, he wasn't allowed to use his phone in school anymore, and who knows what his parent's had to think about it.

It really didn't seem like he won here.

I headed up the stairs to art, waving to Donna with one hand and tugging my earbuds out with the other. We were turning in our project this week and Donna had been over frequently so we could finish it up. We were pretty proud of the progress that was made on our project and I was certain the art teacher would love it.

I spend the school day in a particularly good mood which set everyone else at ease. In a way, a lot of people who thought I might dampen the mood or snap at my return had a sense of relief. They also began to forget about the whole thing.

It was nice.

Dean.

Dean was quite the opposite as he seemed to think I was pushing down my feelings. As much as I enjoyed the fact he was concerned for me, it was a little overwhelming. He seemed adamant about keeping me 100% happy in the chance I might take him back as a boyfriend not just a friend. It was quite reminiscent of when he first started talking to me.

"Hello sexy," he greeted with a grin on his face. "Are you feeling okay today?"

"Yeah."

"Really?"

"Yes Dean, I am," I replied.

"You sure?"

"Oh come on," I shook my head, resting my feet as far underneath the desk in front of me would allow so I could stretch my legs.

"I'm just saying. You look very beautiful by the way," he said and I smiled.

"Right back at ya princess," I teased and he grinned. We seemed okay, and we felt okay. That's the way I wanted it for now. Charlie hung her arms around my shoulders, offering up a movie night at her house with everyone, Dean included. Seeing as I was cooped up in my house for the majority of the last week with everyone else being in school, I heavily agreed.

"I still can't believe how long it's been with Cas in the group and he still has never seen a Star Wars movie," Charlie said.

"Because you were too busy trying to get him into Harry Potter," I scoffed.

"Ohhhh."

"Yes, she claims I'm a Hufflepuff?" Cas said and I nodded. After class, I was heading to my next through throngs of people.

"(y/n)!" I glanced around, not really predicting the right person who had called me. Garth, the strange boy on Dean's baseball team came towards me in his normal gangling strides. By his side was Kevin, the smallest on the baseball team and one of the smartest kids in school. I had seen him in a fair share of decathlons. On his other side was the most unlikely person to be seen with that group, Benny. Now that it was brought to my attention it seemed like all sorts of unlikely groups and pairs had begun to emerge since I returned. I suppose me 'stealing' Dean away from the popular group left a few stragglers.

"Hi?"

"We saw what happened and we just wanted to say what a dick Azazel is," Benny said and I smiled slightly.

"Oh, thank you," I replied. "I know." They all seemed to laugh and I laughed too, finding it strange that I was suddenly not the one trying to make a friend, but they were approaching me.

"Whatcha doin' after school?" Garth asked and I paused.

"Movie night at Charlie's," I replied and he lit up.

"Oh wow! Could we come?" he asked and I was shocked.

"I mean you'd have to ask Charlie, but I think so," I said. "She's picking the movie though and I'm pretty sure it's Star Wars."

"Star Wars?" Kevin asked, perking up as well and I nodded. "I think I can skip studying for today."

"Cool!" They started walking with me to my next class and I spent the time talking with Kevin about his next competition with the math team. It was interesting to get to know these people I had gone to school with for so long.

That evening everyone was there, all laughing and commenting along with the movie. New people had joined us and yet it felt comfortable and full. I sat next to Dean, sharing a bowl of popcorn and leaning up against him.

"Jeez, I'm not a pillow."

"That's up to debate sir," I argued with a smile, he returned it and let me lay against him anyways. It was nice to know that he would wait for me and it seemed pretty likely that I could really date him for real in the future. Past high school and everything. I surveyed my surrounding before hearing Dean say softly to me:

"Whatever loser."
