Draze
"I have to go. I have some business I have yet to finish with my Counsel. The festivities will be going to kick off in a moment." I lied, it was too early for it to even start. However, it was necessary for me to strategize a goal to prevent an expected as hell scheme from any bastard who wished to screw things up. Because of what occurred earlier, it had already placed Feigh in great danger and it will grow stronger than we had anticipated.
I never thought it was possible.
Feigh's eyes were closed and her breathing was calm.
I waited and she seemed to notice my silence. "Uh-huh! How do you know, I'm not sleeping?" I smirked. Before I could reply. She clarified fervently in her usual intuitive fashion, letting me know she's not stupid. "Right. My heartbeat. You could hear my heartbeat, right? And in that way, you could tell that I am awake." She slowly opened her eyes.
I shook my head once. "No!"
"Pssfftt!! Don't tell me, because of the love bond we have." She finally snapped into a sitting position and leaned against the headboard. Her light grey eyes swirled with intensity. A lovely pink hue rose to her cheekbones.
My lips turned up into a wicked smile and purred, "Because you snore when you sleep." Her eyes widened. She threw a pillow in my direction as she hissed. I bit back a laugh that crawled up my throat as I caught the pillow with ease. She rolled her eyes. I immediately placed the pillow beside her and kissed her lightly on the lips. She blushed. Her mouth worked to form a response but none released from her lips.
I could hear her heartbeats increase. A smug smirk split my lips. "Are you hungry? Do you want anything, before I leave?" I gently whispered while reaching for her hands and kissed them lightly, still locking her eyes with mine. Her eyebrows puckered and her succulent pink lips turned down into the smallest frown, she looked down at her hands, "I'm fine. But do you really need to go?"
I chuckled, low and deep. And then my face turned into a deep concentration. My tone was clipped, "Yes! Stay here." There's no mistaking my warning tone. An alarm was evident in her expression but I have no choice at the moment. I needed her to learn how to obey now.
Not now that I was soon going on a trip.
Her glance flickered up to mine and then back down to her hands. She almost whine, but I kept my self-imposed trance and remained serious. Now that I gathered many vampires were after her, if it takes for me to tie her up inside my suite, I'll do it.
She looked at me but immediately acquiesced into silence when she studied my expression. She sighed, "I will do as you say. Don't worry, I won't leave your suite." She spoke softly.
"The festivities will end soon and the vampires from the other nation were going to leave the kingdom. So I will be back after midnight."
She breathed as she acknowledged and replied, "Okay."
She laid back down on the bed and gave me a small smile as I slipped out of the room.
I made my way into my private living areas. I suspected Kol would be eager and about.
Startled to hear Candice's screeching with Kol sitting relaxed on one of the couches. Remembering I have ordered her to stay on her suite, I snarled viciously, "What the fuck are you doing here?" She spun to face me and immediately said, "Brother, I came to see you."
She fucking bats her eyelashes at me.
I snapped, "Stop that. You look like an otter!"
Before I could even sit, as expected, Kol interjected. "What the hell was that, Draze? You asked for a healer, what did you do to the human attending Feigh? What was her name again? Lilli?" Candice nodded.
