The next week passed by like lightning. It seemed like the quickest week of my life. The morning we left for the airport was hectic. Mrs. Irwin raced around the house making sure Ashton had everything. She also made sure I had enough too.
The drive up to the airport was quiet. I sat in the back next to Harry. He jumped up and down with excitement. I wasn't sure if he fully understood how long his brother would be gone for.
My stomach was full of butterflies. It was still hard to believe today was the day we were leaving. When the airport was in view I squealed with excitement, making everyone laugh.
"Are you ready?" Ashton exclaimed.
"YES!" I screamed. "I can't remember the last time I have been this excited!"
Ashton laughed. "Me too!" He agreed.
Mrs. Irwin drove to the nearest parking garage by our ramp. She hugged Ashton for the longest time. Her head was buried in his shoulder but I could still tell she was crying. "You be good now okay?" She said. Her hands cupped the sides of Ashton's face.
He nodded proudly. "I will Mum. Don't worry."
She shook her head, "I'm not sweetheart." As she finished saying goodbye to her son she walked to me, "Make sure he doesn't get into too much trouble for me." I smiled as she winked and got into the car.
Harry ran into Ashton's arms and hugged him tightly. "How long will you be gone Ash?" He asked.
"Only three months bud." Ashton said, making Harry's face fall. "It's not that long buddy. I'll be back before you even know I'm gone. And you can call me whenever you want."
"Promise?" Harry asked holding out his pinkie finger.
Ashton hooked his pinkie with Harry's, "Promise."
Ashton hugged Harry one last time before joining my side. We waved until Ashton's car turned out of sight. Ashton took a deep breath and wiped his eyes before following me into the airport.
Security went by smoothly and we found our gate easily. Ashton and I found two open seats. "I have so many butterflies in my stomach." I confessed.
Ashton nodded, "Me too. I can't wait to see the other boys and get on the plane."
"I've never been to LA before." I said, "First thing I'm doing is going to the beach." The first three concerts the boys had were in LA. After we moved across the United Sates, from left to right. Ending with New York.
"I think that is a great idea. Mind if I join you?" Ashton asked.
I smiled, "Of course not!"
Before we could continue our conversation someone's hands covered my eyes making me jump. "Guess who?" Someone whispered.
Without answering I pried their hands away. Mckenzie stood in front of me. "Kenz! You're coming too?" I squealed and hugged her.
She nodded, "Yeah! Luke asked me, but we wanted it to be a surprise."
"This is amazing!" I exclaimed. My excitement radiating off me. Mckenzie smiled wide as she watched me bounce around.
"Gate 27 is now boarding." A voice boomed over the PA.
Ashton jumped from his seat, "That's are gate guys. You ready?"
The woman at the desk checked our tickets off before letting us board the plane. It took at least half an hour to find our seats and get comfortable.
I sat by the window in a bench with Calum and Mckenzie. Ashton, Luke, and Michael sat directly behind us.
"Welcome to flight D12, we hope you enjoy your trip with us!" A speaker said before the engines of the plane began to rumble.
