I went to Pick up Eddie's mom's keys from the ground, but he swatted my hand away.
"I got it, I know what you do Miss Miles, I don't want you touching my Eddie with your dirty hands" She spat the insult at me.
I flinched and looked to the side in shame, They drove away in the blue mustang as we stood in silence.
"You're all monsters!" She yelled out the window, in a fit of rage.
Wiping my face I tried to get my wet hair out of my face.
What a bitch.
"I saw the well, we know where it is a-and next time we'll be better prepared" Bill stated
"No! No next time Bill, your insane!" Stanley yelled at him which was uncommon.
"Why, no one else is gonna do anything"
"Eddie was nearly killed, Brooks nearly drowned and look at this mother fucker, he's bleeding hamburger helper!" Richie yelled at them back.
"We can't pretend it gonna go away, Ben you said it yourself it comes back every 27 years" Bravely said her face vetting more annoyed
"Fine, I'll be 40 and a long way from here, I thought you said you wanted to get out of here too?"
"Because I wanna run towards something, not away"
"I'm sorry, who invited Molly Ringwald to the group" Richie said annoyed as Bev flipped him off
"Richie..." I said quietly
"I'm just saying facts, real world Georgie is dead stop trying to get us killed too" Richie tried to push past Bill but he grabbed Richie by the shirt
"You couldn't save him but you can save yourself"
"No t-take it back!" Bill yelled in his face
"Your scared we all are, but take it back" Bill shoved Richie
In which he retaliated by pushing back, I stepped in fast enough breaking them apart.
"Stop!" I screamed at the both of them
"Your just a bunch of losers that are going to get killed!" Richie screamed before Bill took another swing at Richie only to hit me in the eye in the crossfire
"Holy shit, I'm so sorry"
"Awe fuck..."
I placed my hand on my eye as everything went silent and still.
"You jackass!" Richie screamed launching towards Bill
But I ended up grabbing his arm to pull him back, he spun around to face me with a angered face.
"You're defending him, even after he hit you?!"
I gave him a saddening look as I stayed silent.
I knew it was an accident so I wasn't going to react badly.
"I can't believe you!" He yelled before turning back to leave
I grabbed his wrist and he spun to look at me with an irritated look.
"Richie..." My eyes welled up with salty tears and for the first time in forever
I was crying.
"You promised me..."
"You promised me you wouldn't leave me!" I screamed at him as his face displayed his shock.
"She's crying..." Bill whispered to Beverly and Ben in shock
Richie's face changed again back to anger.
"you're on his side!?"
"I'm not on any sides!"
"Well if you get killed, I'll be sure to bring flowers to your grave!"
In that moment my heart broke into a million pieces, the guy I liked just left me.
"I can't believe I liked you!" I yelled at him loud enough for him to hear.
I let out a few more tears as I watched Richie ride away from us with some others.
"Brooks I'm so-" Beverly started to talk but I put my hand up to stop her
"Look I'm sorry, I just want to be left alone for a while okay?" I said wondering to my bike in a daze
They gave me sad looks as I rode past them in silence.
