◼BROOKLYN MILES◼
It's been two weeks since the battle against Pennywise the dancing clown and everyone was just starting to relax back into their normal lives again. That was until we all realised that the prom had been sneaking up on us quickly. Richie immediately asked me to be his date, which I agreed to.
I mean we were dating.
Bev had already moved so there was no option on me getting dresses with her, neither my mom, she just gave me the money. So I asked two unexpected people to help me dress shop.I dragged along Eddie spaghetti and Stan the man. They actually seemed happy to help out, which was kinda a stray from their character, well maybe more Eddie. I know that Stan likes being prim and proper so he might actually enjoy this.
"That's fucking disgusting!" Eddie held up a blue jacket with burn holes in it, before rolling his eyes. He also found a dead mouse which he vomited at the sight of, fanning his face frantically.
"Jeez Edds..." Stan sighed out as he tried to calm his friend down from his tiny panic attack.
We ended up searching for a suit for them too, apparently, a mystery girl asked Eddie out which made me eager to meet her. But for Stanley, I just told him to hang with me and Richie since were friends. I looked through rows and rows of dresses, pinks, greens, yellows, blues. Disgusting frills, gross lace and ugly embroidery, until I saw it.
I was completely and utterly entranced by the dress the more I stared at it, it was perfect.
Wow.
"Brooks?" Eddie asked snapping me out of my thoughts, I coughed and looked back to the boys out of my daze. He looked to where I was staring at and ushered me towards it, pushing my back slightly.
"Try it on" Stan smiled widely as he continued to look for a dress shirt.

I looked at myself in the mirror as my Mom did my hair and makeup, I adjusted my newly-acquired dress. It was the night of the dance and I was panicking, I flailed my arms around like a man women.
"No need to panic honey, you look amazing, everyone will stare at your beautiful face" She smiled up at me through the mirror that we were standing in front of. Eventually, she was done and my hair and makeup were finally perfect, to finish it I put on my cute slip one and I was ready to go. I smiled at myself through the mirror as my Mom admired her work with a appreciative nod and smile.
"You're ready"
A doorbell and a course of knocks followed. I stood to me feet in excitement as my Mom shared my expression, a shiver was sent through my body. I slid down the railing of the stairs and got to the bottom in a rush before finally opening the front door. There he was, standing there with a casual tux on, with no glasses surprisingly. He looked quite nice compared to normally Richie, who sometimes couldn't even brush his hair. I bet his mother helped.
"Holy shit, I didn't know you could get any hotter" Richie commented in awe as he stared, a blush enveloped his freckled cheeks as he failed to keep his mouth from opening.
"Didn't know you had eyes under those glasses" I replied smugly as I smirked at him, he crossed his arms, amused at my playfulness.
"Haha very funny, they're contacts," He said almost showing off his eyes by blinking rapidly.
"You look nice though" I admired him before ruffling his combed hair, his curled bounces back up as I fixed his fuzzy hair.
That's better, I thought he lost his curls for a sec.
"You look pretty as fuck, almost as pretty as Eddie's mom" He commented back in a humorous tone, I roll my eyes at his overused joke.
"Thanks...I think" I giggle and blushed as he guided me out the door towards his famous black bike.
I tied my long dress into a side nott to prevent it from dragging on the floor. Richie got on and me after him, our bodies presses against eachother as he started to peddle. I snaked my arms around his waist and held tight as I pressed my face against his back. I breathed in his sent, he smelled of caramel and vanilla just like his bed and the fabric was soft against my cheek. The air whisked past us as I felt his breath wise and fall, street lights illuminated us. It felt nice to be with him. Even after all the things that had happened I still felt happy in this moment.
And it felt as if the world had slowed for us, only us.
Finally, it was all over.
