4 months later
It wasn't until Hana came home that Yuna had realised just how empty her family had been without her. The house was filled with their laughter, petty arguments and constant banter. Yuna hadn't realised how quiet could be so sinister. Since Yuna had gotten her sister back, she had barely seen the boys from the loft. It wasn't until one sunny afternoon when she, Hana and Jun were sprawled on her bed staring at the ceiling, bored out of their minds when she remembered her newfound friends. She shot up, rooted upright, almost causing Jun to fall off of the bed, if Hana hadn't caught him, that is. Hana looked up from her gaze at Jun to face Yuna. "What is it?" She asked her little sister, who was sat bolt upright on her bed. "I haven't been to see anyone in 4 months!" She exclaimed. She scrambled off of her bed, grabbing her black leather jacket that hadn't been touched in months. "Let's go."
They rushed through the streets of Busan that lead into the little alleyways that Yuna knew all too well, Jun and Hana following close behind. Eventually, Yuna knocked on those big metal doors, each knock sending a loud ringing noise throughout the alley. After what felt like an eternity, a boy with dark brown hair and dark eyes opened the doors. In a split second, his confused expression turned stony. "What do you want?" He asked. His tone monotonous. Yuna bit her lip. "To see you, obviously."
Jae clenched his jaw. "What, so you can use us to break someone else out of jail then ditch us?" His tone was scathing. Yuna flinched at his words. "Jae, you know that's not true! I just- I just got my sister back and I wanted to spend every moment I could spare with her, make up for all the lost time."
Jae's expression turned sorrowful. "You could have done that with us, not all on your own. You're our sister too."
Upon hearing the commotion a small girl with blonde space buns peeked her head around the door and her eyes narrowed when she saw who was stood at the door. At her expression, Yuna felt her heart sink. "Mi-Cha..."
But Mi-Cha turned away, the hurt obvious on her face. Yuna bit her lip, feeling tears prick at her eyes. Blinking furiously she turned to Jae, pleading, but his expression was unreadable. Yuna felt a hand on her shoulder. She turned to see her sister. "Come on. Let's go. We're not welcome here anymore."
Nodding tearfully, Yuna took one last sparing glance at the two people at the door but they were already gone.
"Yuna! Yuna wait!"
Yuna's face lit up and she turned to see Jin-Soo running after her. She grinned as he caught up to her, panting. "Come back!" He told her. Yuna frowned. "Jae and Mi-Cha were pretty clear that I wasn't wanted."
Jin scoffed. "As soon as we found out who was at the door, we were all ecstatic! We were devastated when you left. We miss you. Especially Mi-Cha. You two were thick as thieves."
Yuna sighed. "I don't know."
"Go back idiot!" Hana yelled, smiling. Yuna grinned at her. "As long as Hana and Jun can come."
Jin grinned, pulling Jun in for a one armed hug. "Of course. Jun's our friend too. Hana is our new friend."
Yuna looked at her friends and grinned. "Let's go."
Jin led them down the alley, holding tightly onto Yuna's hand as he pushed open the big metal doors. It was exactly as she'd remembered it. She'd only really been friends with them for 6 months minus the 4 she hadn't been with them, but she'd remembered every part of the loft. The t.v. in the main area, the old beat up sofa that she'd spent many nights jumping up and down on it with Mi-Cha, Dae-Jung and often Bon, chucking popcorn and pillows at each other. She remembered the makeshift kitchen full of handmade cupboards filled with off brand snacks and drinks. She remembered the bedrooms where she had spent hours lying in bed with Mi-Cha or Jin, talking about nothing. She remembered it all. Her home. Her family. Suddenly, a squeal pierced the space sending Yuna reeling out of her thoughts as a slightly older, small girl came hurtling towards her throwing her arms around her. Yuna grinned at the figure attached to her waist, her brown hair informing her that it was Jhang Kyta. Yuna slid her arms around the older girl and laid her chin on the top of her head.
"I missed you." Kyta murmured into the crook of Yuna's shoulder. Yuna smiled. "I missed you too Keets." The two girls broke apart and grinned at each other. Over the top of Kyta's head, Yuna caught sight of Mi-Cha stood in the open kitchen, getting herself a beverage of some sort. She bid her farewell to Kyta and made her way to the kitchen. She perched herself behind her. "Hey." Her greeting made the other girl jump. She turned around, eyes wide. "Hey." She mumbled and tried to sneak past her but Yuna was faster. She grabbed the girl's wrists and looked at her, her big brown eyes pleading. "Mimi, I'm sorry. Can we please talk?"
Mi-Cha was silent for a long while, her lips pursed, eyes focused on the floor. "Fine." She responded, not looking up. Yuna smiled briefly and led the girl outside. Jun watched the two girls leave from the sofa. "How did she take it? Mimi, I mean." He asked to nobody in particular.
"Not well." Dae-Jung responded, who was sat very close to Min-Jae. Jae's expression darkened. "I don't blame her. Yuna just fucking left. No goodbye or anything. Not even To the people that took her in and made her a part of our family."
To the side of him, Jun heard Kyta roll her eyes and sigh. "Look, do any of you have a sibling?" Nobody raised their hands except Hana and Kyta. She pursed her lips. "Has anybody...had a sibling?" She asked, this time a little hesitant. This time only Bon-Hwa raised his hand, weakly. Kyta swallowed. "If you got your sibling back after however long they've been gone for, wouldn't you want to spend as much time as possible with them?"
A circuit of ashamed nods made their way around the room. Kyta leaned back, satisfied. "There. Now get your heads out of your asses and actually see it from someone else's point of view."
Hana leaned in to Jun from behind, her warm breath tickling the back of his neck, sending tingles down his spine. "I like her."
Jun grinned. "Me too."
"Why did you have to go?"
Yuna stood facing away from Mi-Cha, her face instead focused on the cold, harsh ground underneath her. "Mimi, why can't you understand?" She cried, whirling around to face her. "You're being selfish!"
"You could've said goodbye!" Mi-Cha retorted. Yuna pursed her lips. "And I'm sorry for that, but I'm here now, and I'm here to stay. I promise."
"You promise?"
"I do."
