I hated school., it was like literally  hell and the only thing that got me through my senior year was my friends Katie Graham and brothers and infamous pranksters of the school who happen to be brothers (but not identical twins like everyone thought they were) Connor and Travis Splint, the only problem was my friends didn't get on well with each other but luckily I had tricked them into being tolerant for my sake and the three grumbled on a little but did agree eventually and now would hang out in one place without trying to kill the other two

Walking into school I glanced at my new time table that was printed out for the entire school early last week when it was announced that new classes would be joining our old ones after the Gods revealed themselves a little over a month ago

I had gym (that was now being changed to Monster Protection Class) and then I Demigod and the real god stories, I had heard rumours from around the school that that class that they told us information about the two wars and the legend that was Percy Jackson ...Too bad the hottie had a girlfriend who was also a legend 

"Thinking of Percy Jackson again?" I hear a voice shout in my ear and I turn around to see my best friend Katie Graham looking at me amusement sparkling in her bright green as the corners of her lips turn up into a smirk

"How do you know?" I snapped at her turning to face her to which I'm met with chuckles 

"You were drooling again" Katie hums 

"I was not" I snap again but I'm sure I was 

"Sure you weren't" She hums once more and I go red in the face "C'mon lets get to MPC after all I don't want Coach Whittle to give me a hundred mile sprint just for being late, now he's the only  monster I know "  Katie laughs and chooses to make a joke of Whittles gruelling punishment for you if your late most people collapse after ten or so laps before they collapse some not even being able to complete two laps but Katie and my other two friends can complete all hundred miles and still have energy to spare...Seriously I have no idea how they do it and soon I joined in with my friends laughter

Our laughs echoed down the corridor as we made our way to Monster Protection

After Monster Protection I was exhausted and Katie had to literally drag me to my next class which was Demigod and Godly studies which happened to be one of the few classes I shared with the Splint brothers and Katie while I enjoyed my friends company and having them all in one place it was hard trying to keep Katie from killing one of the Splint brothers it was more often that not Connor that she was trying to kill after he said something insulting to her which mostly I just found weird like when he called her 'miss flowehead' or said 'cereal sucks and shouldn't have been invented' weird right but Katie gets super insulted when he does that 

But something even weirder than that happened after Katie walked into the classroom dragging me behind her she actually squealed when she saw a man with blonde hair and grey eyes standing in front of the teachers desk "Malcom you're teaching this class?" She squealed wait she knew this teacher? How?

"Yes Katie I am but while I'm teaching you will address me as Mr. Pace" 'Mr Pace' chuckles 

"Oh sorry" Katie blushes quickly letting go of my hand and placing it over her mouth which causes me to fall onto my face as I was leaning on her for support and the class dissolves into quiet giggles  Katie quickly realising what had happened quickly moves to help me up "Cece I'm so sorry I forgot how clumsy you can be when you're tired in fact I know how clumsy you can be period" The brunette smirked which made me slap her on the shoulder but she didn't seem to flinch and I've been told I got a strong punch by my younger sister Diana 

"Go to you're seats I would like to start the lesson now" Mr Pace says sternly

 The only available seats was the row in front of Travis and Connor which I was fine about but Katie sent Connor and Travis a warning glance before Mr Pace calls for the attention to be back on him. Speaking of Mr Pace he seems young only nineteen or twenty easily making him the youngest teacher in the school 

"Now today we'll be talking about the second Titan War" Mr Pace announced pacing back and forth along the front row "In 2009 the second titan war began led by Perseus 'Percy' Jackson and this is how it began The campers gather in a small park at the edge of the mountain and find that Morpheus has caused all the mortal residents of Manhattan to fall asleep to prevent human intervention. They look beyond the borders of Manhattan and figure out that Kronos and Hecate must be using their powers to slow down time around the vicinity of Manhattan in such a way that the closer mortals get to the island, the slower time is.

The group then exits the building. Percy divides the campers into groups to guard the bridges and tunnels that the enemy may use to get to Olympus. As he realizes that he has left the Lincoln Tunnel open (even with a WWII M4 Sherman headed there), Thalia and the Hunters of Artemis appear and state that they would stand guard over that route. The group dissipates to meet the incoming invasion forces. Percy and Annabeth then fly on pegasi to activate Plan 23.

They proceed to help the Apollo campers on Williamsburg Bridge, the bridge connecting Manhattan to Brooklyn. The Apollo campers, Annabeth, and Percy manage to drive the enemy back to Brooklyn when they realize that enemy reinforcements, headed by Kronos himself, are on the other side of the bridge. The group falls back, but they fight nonetheless. During the battle, Annabeth intercepts a stab meant for Percy that was directed towards his weak point. The demigods retreat when Percy realizes how much strength he has and strikes Riptide into the bridge with such force that the bridge breaks. Michael Yew goes missing, seemingly like he fell off the bridge. Percy tells some Apollo campers to search for him. Kronos turns back and the campers and Hunters regroup and settle down for the night in their new headquarters, a hotel at the southeast corner of Central Park. That is what happened at the start of the war, I will not go through everything that happened because then we'll be here a long time but now what you're going to do is do a report on one of the demigods that helped in that war"

"Do we get to choose ourselves?" A random kid pipes up

"No you do not I will choose who you do and who you work with" Mr Pace informs us only to be met with quite a few groans he shushes the class and then starts rattling names off and paring them with a demigod to research "Katie Graham, Cece Green and Connor and Travis Splint you will be researching Mr Perseus Jackson" I swear I almost squealed but Katie, Connor and Travis are trying not to laugh 

"Did Annabeth tell you to give us Percy" Katie says in between chuckles to which Malcom just nods his head causing Connor, Travis and Katie to laugh more "I'm not surprised though they are a cute couple"

"Hold on"Mr Pace says a wicked glint growing in his grey eyes "They aren't the only cute couple --Tratie" Mr Pace says which causes Connor to let out a howl of laughter and Katie and Travis to go red in the face before Katie tries to splutter out

"We're n-not...cute" 

"What? Katie you don't think we're a cute couple?" Travis says fake hurt in his voice and my head spins. Travis and Katie a couple no way they're always arguing 

"Wait? Did you tell anyone about you?" Mr Pace asks noticing everyone gawking at Travis and Katie to which Katie shakes her head and Travis mumbles something about being too shy suddenly a giant dog with glowing red eyes prances into the room making my hair stand on end and a few people scream but Mr Pace, Katie, Connor and Travis take out various weapons before slaying the monster leaving not only me shocked but the entire class and Mr Pace saying "Introduce yourselves"

"Katie Gardner daughter of Demeter" Katie says before stepping back

"Connor and"

"Travis"

"Stoll" They say together "Sons of Hermes"

"And I'm Malcom Pace brother of Annabeth Chase" Mr Pace says before they all jump out of the window ... on the 3rd story ...
