The Long Wait

Chapter 6

It was nine o'clock in the morning when they finally woke up. Just then Mrs Parker came into her room with a displeased look on her face.

You girls should get you ass out of the bed and get dressed. I want you downstairs within the next five minutes, she said and walked out.

Why is she so angry in the morning? Red just shrugged as they brushed their teeth and got dressed. They joined Mr and Mrs Parker at the dinning table.

How was your night? Mr Parker asked them.

Still exhausted, Red said.

Cheresse decided to go for some scrambled eggs and bacon with some salad whiles red went with a simple toast and freshly squeezed orange juice.

Red your mum called this morning. Said she hasn't heard from you since you left home. Giving her a disapproving look.

I'm sorry, I just forgot to call her. Will do that after breakfast.

You should. So tell me, how did the party go?

It was fun, they said together.

So any boys? This came from Mr Parker causing Cheresse to blush and a clearing of throat from red. Cheresse glared at her. Okay so from the way Cheresse is blushing and no one is talking I guess my answer is a yes?

Come on guys you know you can tell me anything and what happened to not keeping stuff from us?

Cheresse sighed and looked at her mum who was not so patiently waiting for her to speak up . Okay so I met this boy who goes to our school. His name is Damien. We just danced and talked. Nothing much happened.

So from the way you're blushing just from talking about him I assume you like him?

Oh god no, why is everyone saying that ?

Do you really expect us to believe you don't like him or at least you're not crushing on him? Mrs Parker said with a grin on her face.

Oh gosh you guys are unbelievable, she blushed furiously and went up to her room with her parents and friend laughing behind her. Just as she lay on her bed, her phone started ringing. It was an unknown number. Who could possibly be calling me?

Hello?

I almost thought you weren't going to answer your phone.

Erm who am I speaking to please?

Ouch! You wound me. Can't even recognize my sexy voice. Okay I can tell you're still lost , it's Damien, I hope the name rings a bell in your head?

Oh yes I'm so sorry about that. I'm still exhausted from yesterday. Wasn't expecting your call.

Oooh don't think you can get rid of me that easily. This made her chuckle. Just then Red entered the room. She lifted a finger to her lips and rolled her eyes to the questioning look she had on her face.

Anyways I wouldn't waste much of time. Just wanted to know how you're doing.

Oh okay, thanks. I'm fine by the way.

Alright so I guess I'll see see you at school tomorrow?

You sure will.

Alright then I'll leave you be. Enjoy the rest of your day.

Alright, you too.

Okay I'm not even gonna ask who you were talking to. It's written all over your face. You seriously need to work on that blush that seems to always appear on your face just at the mention of his name.

Oh shut up. She tuckled her to ground. Don't kill yourselves in there, they heard Mrs Parker say outside her room. They laughed till their stomach hurt.

I think I should get going. I need to prepare for tomorrow.

Yeah I also have to get my hair and nails done. Heaven knows I need a manicure and pedicure. Let me just get my staff while you go tell my parents of your departure.

Okay girls take care and Cheresse don't be long. I won't . Adios she chirped and dashed out of the the door. Her hair took more time than she had expected. She had healthy hair so she just needed a wash and a trim. Then she decided to put in some clip ins just to add some more volume to her already thick hair which was curled and put in a side part. By the time she got home it was ten to five.

She got changed into some sweats and did her nightly routine. She logged into her iMac and replied to some mails, checked the sales and progress of her collection and rescheduled her mother's meeting her mum was so adamant she did. Her mum could be annoying when she wants to, she thought. Then finally she drew some new designs and drew a plan for the following week. Not to forget prepared her bag and outfit for school tomorrow. Her dog jumped unto her bed just as she was about to retire to bed.

Oh no Treasure get off my bed this very minute. The dog just curled herself unto the blanket. Ugh I'm so not in the mood for your games. She picked the dog and placed it on its bed at the corner of her room. Now stay in your bed. I need to sleep. Few minutes after she lay comfortably in her bed as sleep engulfed her and she dreamt about a boy with curly hair and golden orbs.
