Inside his heart was still breaking, but his smile stayed on. Everything was still green in his head, the wail of her mother's sorrow increasingly crushed his heart even more, it didn't help when it abruptly popped up in his mind. I'm not gonna be a mother anymore, that was what he heard her say.

And it urged him to think, how did parents move forward when they lost a child? How did they wake up everyday? How did they breathe? A child was parents' entire world and pride, a blessing that would carry their name and legacy for an indefinite time.

But, then again, the show must go on.

They didn't get to stop waking up or breathing. They had to keep being a parent even though they didn't get to have a child anymore. There was no lesson, no happy ending. There was nothing, their child was just gone. And he thought standing on Jina's shoes was much more arduous than he felt.

While people claimed there was no deadline on being okay, but for Park Jimin, there was. He was still in the midst of the tour, he had to set aside his personal agenda for the sake of everyone. Though it would be more complicated because they would perform in Crystal's hometown, he just had to keep going.

"Jimin is currently having a very hard time," Namjoon announced dismally. The soundcheck session in Soldier Field felt gloomier, but the members tried hard not to show the fans how her death altered the atmosphere. "So, please take it easy on him if he's not performing well tonight."

"Cheer him up, yeah?" Taehyung added next, his boxy smile did not really reach his eyes. "I know you all can do it."

"He frowns a lot since two days ago," Yoongi said. "Paint a smile on his face tonight. He really needs your support."

This world wasn't perfect, neither were they. Jimin was full of doubts and she eternally believed, she kept the invisible strings that held him together intact, the idea of her made him whole, made him enough. He would have asked why she was leaving once in a while only to have his answer in hand, that we couldn't always grow from the seeds we sow.

And for one second, he forgot.

Jimin's charcoal eyes roamed through the horizon to observe the speck of stars gleaming on him. And in time, everything would stop hurting. Sooner or later, he was going to see things get better and all that remained was the happiest memories with her. He believed them with every fiber of his being, he would be okay because he wasn't alone.
