𝟙𝟠𝕥𝕙 𝕞𝕒𝕣𝕔𝕙 𝟙𝟡𝟠𝟜chaeyoung sat quietly on the floor of momo's living room, an untouched cup of alcohol in her hand and a bewildered look on her face. the girl hadn't realised the extent of momo's popularity until now. apparently having 'some friends' over meant a completely different thing to the japanese girl than it did to chaeyoung, so here she was, cramped in a room with what seemed like half of the town.
it was noisy, dark, crowded and reeked of alcohol. it was everything chaeyoung hated.when chaeyoung had arrived momo introduced her to a quiet girl named tzuyu. she was tall and looked mature beyond her years, almost the opposite of chaeyoung. the older girl didn't want to admit it but she was slightly intimidated by the taller girl. her eyes were so intense that chaeyoung had looked into them once and decided never to do it again. but since neither of them were really the best with people they seemed to end up together. they didn't talk much. but that suited them both just fine.
chaeyoung's eyes subconsciously found an apricot haired girl in the crowd. funny, she only had one goal, avoid mina, and she couldn't even do that.
the two girls late night calls had become shorter and less frequent, and chaeyoung found herself spending more time with momo than anyone. it would be a lie to say it was easy. i mean wherever momo was mina wasn't far behind, and she had to fight the constant urge to be near the older girl. but it was for the best. at least that's what she told herself. she'd convinced herself that she only wanted to be friends with mina. anything else would be wrong.chaeyoung needed fresh air. and she needed it now. she couldn't take another second of this. everywhere stunk of alcohol and sweat and it made her feel sick. and if another person barged into her without uttering a simple sorry she was going to explode. she excused herself from tzuyu, threw her full cup in the bin and began to make her way to the garden.
before she could even make it to the back door she felt a yank at her hand and was being pulled into a dark room and pushed forcefully against the door."why are you ignoring me" the girl demanded, talking a step back from the brunette.
mina. chaeyoung knew that voice anywhere.the younger girl gulped. she didn't know weather mina had just decided to be bold or if it was the alcohol talking. "i don't know what you mean" chaeyoung muttered, looking anywhere but at the beautiful girl in front of her.
"chaeng you know exactly what i mean," mina sighed, and chaeyoung could feel the fan of the girls breath on her neck. "i miss you," she whispered, and the younger girl could almost see the look of disappointment in the girls shining eyes.
"i-i don't know," chaeyoung murmured, meeting the older girl's eyes, "i've been so stupid, i'm sorry," she admitted, and it truly was sincere.
"i could never not forgive you," mina said softly and intertwined their pinky fingers, "i just want to know why"
chaeyoung's eyes widened and her grip on mina's finger loosened. there was no way she was going to admit what was really going on. not now. not ever.
"i-i can't tell you," chaeyoung murmured, looking down at their intertwined fingers, "not yet"
mina placed her hands on chaeyoung's shoulders quickly and her eyes softened, "it's okay, whenever you're ready" she whispered and brought the younger girl into a hug.
