Slinking through the woods as quietly as a mouse, Silvermoon pounced onto a crow, snapping it's neck and killing it triumphantly. "Good catch Silvermoon!" Smallpaw purred through the four mice he had. She had noticed her apprentice was excellent at catching land prey, not so much birds and squirrels. The beating sun heated the forest. "You excited for the Gathering tonight?" Silvermoon asked, panting from the heat. Smallpaw nodded with a smile. "I heard StoneClan has a bunch of apprentices, and I wanna make friends!" The tom-cat purred. Silvermoon smiled, grabbing her crow once more and heading back to the training circle. The ground was dry and cracked, and extremely rough. "It's so hot!" A voice groaned.

Silvermoon turned her head to see Blazefur and Mosspaw. "I know Mosspaw, but it'll get cooler soon. I hope." Her mentor replied. "Her Mosspaw! Look at our catches!" Smallpaw purred. "Wow! You two work well." Mosspaw gasped. Silvermoon smiled. "We were about to try team hunting." She purred. Smallpaw smiled happily. "Great! We'll take your prey back to camp for you. Me and Mosspaw were finishing a battle session from the trees." Blazefur replied, taking the crow. Mosspaw took the mice, after she touched noses with Smallpaw. After she left, Silvermoon licked Smallpaw's ear. "She seemed to lick you." She teased. Smallpaw rolled his eyes. "I don't see Mosspaw like that." He replied. Silvermoon just snickered. "Come on."

Her paws were light, as if she was walking on clouds. She leaped behind the rabbit, frightening it towards Smallpaw. Smallpaw leaped down from the tree, keeping the rabbit pinned. He opened his mouth for a kill, but the rabbit managed to free itself. Silvermoon ran after it, seeing as it approached the border. She skidded to a halt as it crossed the Thunder-path. A Monster drove by just as the rabbit safely crossed to AcornClan territory. "Mouse-dung!" Silvermoon cursed. "Ha! Look at this Hawkeye." A calico snorted. "Petalwish.." Silvermoon growled. Smallpaw caught up with her, panting by her side. Thrushwing approached with a black and white apprentice, Petalwish also had one, white and black. "AlderClan can't hunt in all this heat huh?" Hawkeye mocked. Silvermoon looked at the apprentices. They were practically twigs. "Looks like neither can you!" She replied Hawkeye just growled, turning away. His patrol followed. "Come on Smallpaw," Silvermoon meowed. "I'm sorry I missed that rabbit.." Smallpaw apologized. "It's alright, we'll live. We always have."

Worry pricked her pelt as she walked towards the Gathering area. Her worries for her brother kept her mind a swarm. Silvermoon crossed the bridge carefully, feeling Smallpaw press close to her. The night was a loving change from the bitter sun than was hanging around during the day. She gave a small sigh as she padded into the open Gathering space. Silvermoon lead her apprentice towards where they would sit. AlderClan was the first here. She sat down, and tried to make small talk with Blazefur. "Mosspaw is so easily distracted.. I'm starting to worry about her assessment." The warrior meowed. "She's always focusing on the kits, not on her hunting and battling." He complained. "Try tuckering her out, have races and hunting competitions." A sudden sound chimed. Silvermoon looked up, seeing Goldenclaw. He was the new deputy of StoneClan, after Minnowdusk retired. "That's what I did with Dustfur, and my new apprentice." The golden deputy purred. "Huh, Thanks." Blazefur replied with a smile. "Silvermoon, good to see you." The deputy dipped his head. Silvermoon dipped her's in return. Why was he being so friendly? The rest of StoneClan filed in, and soon they were joined by MossClan and AcornClan.

Everyone was still settling in, and Silvermoon looked around for her StoneClan friend. She locked eyes with the tom, and padded over to him. "Hey mouse-dung, how's it going in StoneClan?" Silvermoon purred, stretching her body. "Pretty good, it seems we're the only Clan with water left though. The caves have small streams of water running through them." Dustfur replied. "Lucky, it's gotten so dry in AlderClan, our fluffier cats groom six times a day!" Silvermoon exclaimed. "Ha! Serves Cloudtuft right." Dustfur teased. "He's a good cat when you get to know him." She replied softly, licking her paws. "You're the only decent AlderClan cat!" Dustfur shot back. Silvermoon chuckled softly. As the moon glistened, bright mono-toned beams lit the cats pelt's up.

"Cats of every Clan," Tawnystar started. "We have three knew apprentices, and two new warriors. Quietpaw, Birchpaw, and Lightpaw, along with Froghop and Crow-wing." She announced. Silvermoon cheered silently, but whipped her head back to the pretty MossClan leader. "The drought has been difficult, but our moss and swamp is still damp. We haven't lost complete hope." Tawnystar reported. "Yeah, so don't think of attacking!" Hissed a black warrior. "Quiet Crow-wing." Heatherpatch growled.  Silvermoon flicked her tail. StoneClan and MossClan were fine, why was only AlderClan suffering? Maybe AcornClan will report bad news.. They looked awfully skinny before. The she-cat thought. She shook her head. Silvermoon shouldn't wish bad upon others.

"AcornClan has been affected by this drought, but we are surviving with the water we have. We also have two new apprentices. Nightpaw and Daypaw." Toadstar started and finished bitterly. Silvermoon looked at the two. Those were the apprentices on the patrol earlier. Multistar stepped up, flicking his elderly tail. "We have plenty of new kits this Green-leaf. They will make fine warriors and possible medicine cats in the future." Her leader meowed. "AlderClan is doing fine, we always have been fine." Redsnow growled. Silvermoon glanced at her deputy. The huge gash in his neck had just become livable. He only resumed his duties at deputy a quarter moon ago. Thornbush had been a temporary replacement. "No one asked," Snorted Longscar. "Shut it murderer!" Her deputy silenced. "Redsnow, we've discussed Tigerfang's death was an accident." Multistar replied. Silvermoon flattened her ears. Was it? She looked to the sky. Why can't you tell me who killed you Dad?  I don't know who to believe..
