Silvermoon trekked smoothly through the forest besides Cloudtuft, his fur pressing against hers. It rained last night, the river was starting to come back. So, the couple thought they'd head down towards there. She lowered her head, lapping up the water gently. "Silvermoon, you had something to tell me?" Cloudtuft asked softly, looking lovingly at her. Silvermoon smiled, pressing her nose to Cloudtuft's gently. "It's very exciting." She purred. "But you'll have to work to earn it!" Silvermoon teased, speeding off quickly.
It wasn't too long until Cloudtuft caught up to her, playfully pinning her. "What is it Silvie?" He asked. Silvermoon gently pushing Cloudtuft off. "Cloudtuft, I'm expecting kits." She purred. Cloudtuft's eyes widened happily. "Really?" He questioned, a happy glint in his eyes. Silvermoon nodded. "We're going to start a family!" Purred Cloudtuft. Silvermoon happily laughed, gently pushing Cloudtuft off. "I want to keep it a secret as much as possible." She admitted to Cloudtuft. The white tom gave Silvermoon a confused glare. "Why? Why wouldn't you want to share the news of our beautiful babies to every cat in the forest?" He asked. "I don't want to be treated like a fancy queen yet! I want to remain a warrior as much as possible." Silvermoon replied. Cloudtuft nodded slightly. "You can only do border patrols! No fighting, hunting, anything that may hurt the kits!" He quickly replied. Silvermoon chuckled, but agreed to the terms.
Silvermoon padded into camp, holding Cloudtuft's vole. Her mate agreed to hunt for her, so Silvermoon could pretend she brought it in. She just wanted to continue being a warrior. She could already sense she wouldn't particularly enjoy expecting kits, or being cooped up in the nursery. She was already as lopsided as a two legged badger. Silvermoon put the piece of prey down in the pile, and Cloudtuft happily looked at Silvermoon. "You two are extremely happy." Fireshine purred besides Blackfeather. Silvermoon fought the urge to hiss in distaste of seeing her former friend and former mate together. "We are, now that the weather is cooling!" Her fluffy mate purred in response. "Yeah, it's been great for us. Cloudtuft and I have been running though the forest together, hunting, training, it's been great. He's such a good mate." Silvermoon purred, smirking at Blackfeather. "How cute! Blackfeather and I have been getting to know each other. He's surprisingly gentle! Despite his big, grumpy nature!" Fireshine replied. Silvermoon narrowed her eyes. "Uh-huh.. let's go Cloudtuft.." She mewed, leading Cloudtuft off.
Day filtered through the warrior's den and Silvermoon opened one eye, seeing the dawn patrol leave. She yawned and stretched. It was her, Blackfeather, and Tumbleweed in the den. Everyone else had already left for a patrol, or to just sunbathe. Silvermoon got to her paws, getting ready to leave. "Stop trying to make Blackfeather jealous." Growled Tumbleweed. "He doesn't care." He continued. "Good, than that means I can announce having kits without him killing me or Cloudtuft." Silvermoon purred with a curled lip. Blackfeather sunk his claws into the ground with fury. She just padded out, tail high.
