A/N happy Easter :)

Dear diary,

I can hear the teachers talking, their usually calming voices agitating me because all that I can think of right now is the trip. I am so excited to go back home and see what I hope to never forget for the last time and hopefully, for the first time.

Three weeks. We have three weeks until the Christmas holidays and I'm so excited because it means three weeks until I get to go home.

I hope it's just how I remember.

Zach closed his diary with a sigh, before shoving it to the back of his closet.

He was waiting for his friends to come over tonight for a sleepover, which he was very excited for. He didn't do what most kids did in school because he wasn't what was classed as 'normal'. Zach never had many friends and the ones he did never lasted for long, especially after his diagnosis sent his close-knit group running for the hills.

He had never gone in to town to hang out with his mates, or got invited to birthday parties and he had certainly never had a sleepover, so needless to say he was excited- and a bit shocked that he could call the people who were coming round his house, his friends.

Maybe he'd been in the wrong place all this time?

Smiling in excitement, he grabbed his laptop to keep him occupied while he waited for his friends.

"You actually did that?" Corbyn asked, finding the fact that Zach had made a list of things they could do slightly humorous.

"Yeah, I was excited because I've never had a sleepover before and-"

Corbyn interrupted him. "Wait. You've never been on a sleepover before?" Zach shook his head slowly, making the older boy simile even wider. "Oh boy, we're gonna have so much fun."

A little while later, Jack and Jonah arrived and they set out the pillows and blankets, finally ready to get the party started and Zach was more than excited.
