The Penny

A/N: Thanks for the 3k reads guys, I love you so much! This is an idea I got a long time ago, I don't know why I still hadn't write it. Anyway, hope you enjoy

It seemed as if nothing could save the world. As if there was no way that they could win. The young purple haired demoness was in the room the others created for her, because of the prophecy and Slade. The others were about to leave to fight against the mad man when he'd show up, trying to prevent the prophecy from being fulfilled. "There's never been a villain we couldn't stop before" Said the fearless leader.

"Trigon isn't a villain. He is the incarnation of evil. The source of all darkness. Th-" Beast Boy interrupted Raven.

"Okay, bad dude. We get it"

Raven had her back turned to the others. "No, you don't. You don't know trigon-"

"And Trigon doesn't know the Titans" Raven turned around as Robin started talking. "We'll watch you from up there if you need us" He pointed at the window before they all started leaving the girl alone in the room.

Garfield suddenly stopped walking and turned to Raven smiling. He ran to her and took her hand, giving her the penny he found at the park. "For luck" He started leaving to join the others as Raven stared at the penny in her hand. She held onto it as she hesitated on doing what she was about to do.

The teenage girl hesitantly called over Garfield. "Wait!" He turned around again and walked up to her, concern filling his emerald green eyes. Hesitation filled the teen's purple eyes. Raven took a step closer to him. She glanced away before being entirely sure of what she was gonna do. Placing her hands on his shoulders she brought her face closer to his. His eyes widened in shock as her lips touched his. She kissed him out of fear and concern, scared she wouldn't be able to save everyone, scared that she would lose him and the chance to tell him how she feels forever.

He quickly closed his eyes and kissed back. The green boy held her waist and she wrapped her arms around his neck. The kiss was passionate and soft. They didn't had a lot of time, so they quickly had to pull away.

Forehead against forehead, they grinned at each other. "I love you" She said, her voice filled with fear and hopelessness.

"I love you too Rae" While his voice was filled with hope and passion. He ran out of the room to join the others. Raven slowly touched her lips, still feeling his kiss on them.

She opened her hand, looking at the penny. "All the luck in the world won't help us now"
