It was already six in the evening when Jihoon finished eating his dinner at a small restaurant. He pays his bill at the register, puts his earphones on, and grabs his backpack before heading out.

Damn. It's raining.

The Class 1 student mutters a curse word under his breath. The nearest bus and train station were far from where he currently was so he had to endure this weather for at least several minutes, depending on how fast his feet could take him.

With a frown on his face and a sigh escaping his lips, he turns the volume up and starts moving, hoping that Yang Yoseob's cold yet powerful vocals would be a good enough distraction.

Jihoon shoved his hands in the pockets of his blazer as he let his mind drift some more, way beyond the sad song that filled his ears. Naturally, he thinks of what he'd be doing once he gets home: school work.

It's all been about school these days: difficult lessons, surprise quizzes, frustrating examinations. Like any student, he didn't enjoy these things for they knocked the energy out of him.

But the truth is that either he finishes his studies or goes to live as a homeless man (which he figured wasn't as easy as it looked). He'd rather go with the former.

What about his friends?

He has two who are closest to him, namely Hong Jisoo and Lee Seokmin.

Jisoo was one of the new students this school year coming from literally the other side of the world. His Korean wasn't bad but his English was definitely better by a long shot, leading him to become quite popular with their English teacher.

Seokmin, on the other hand, had been a good friend since two years prior. He helped Jihoon to get through his academic hardships. They were always having study sessions together, especially in Math and History. Seokmin had smarts, wit, and energy on his side and often the first to brighten up your day with his cheerful attitude.

Thinking of these people causes Jihoon to smile a little.

Just a little.

"Only a few more minutes..." he murmurs to himself, shuffling along the wet pavement. Enough about those two. What else could he think about?

Suddenly, another familiar face pops into his head. Blood then quickly rushes to his cheeks and his small, close-lipped smile widens a bit more.

Choi Seungcheol from Class 3.

He's one of those tall dashingly handsome students. He was polite, kind, intelligent, sporty...

Jihoon's list could go on for a while. One could tell that he liked this guy a lot.

Thinking of Seungcheol gave him such warm feelings. It lifts his mood immediately too. He knew of the somewhat harsh reality though. It was that they've only 'talked' once and it was during election period for student council.

Elections were a big thing in the school, so it wasn't a surprise for some candidates to be a little extra to earn themselves some votes. Seungcheol was one of the students helping to promote by handing out lollipops and colorful pins to whoever passed him by in the hall.

Jisoo and Seokmin soon found out about this and decided to drag Jihoon along with them, claiming that they were going to the locker area to lighten up the load of their backpacks.

This excuse was definitely worthy of being doubted and Jihoon didn't believe a single word of it, but he went along anyway, his curiosity taking over him.

Once he realized that they were heading Seungcheol's way, the pace of his heartbeat increased. He immediately attempted to run off in the opposite direction but the other two had a good hold on him, managing to shove him towards Seungcheol before he could find a way to back out.
