Chapter 2 : My name is Rudra

Few days later...

A 16 year old boy was walking on streets of crowded market place with muddy white top and black full pant almost few torn patches to make his legs visible. He looks around the people, who are paving way for a horse carriage and in midst of the crowd he looks at a man in his mid twenties approaching towards the horse carriage from ahead with a hand inside his pocket to realise he's pulling a black gun. The boy walks fast towards the man and pushes him hard on ground till a gunshot is fired. During the struggle the man accidentally shoots himself in the stomach with his hand inside the pocket and leaving his last breath. The boy stands up to realise he's in the centre of the crowd. The driver pushes the crowd aside to approach him and pulls him up dragging him to the carriage.

Driver opens the carriage door and a man in his 40's steps down and looks at the boy asking him, "Did you know, unknowingly you saved my life".

The boy gazes at him, the man continues to talk, "I would like to repay you for saving me, tell me where are your parents, I would like to meet them".

Boy quickly replies, "They must be dead!."

The man with a amused tone questions,"Why do you think they are dead?"

"It's has been a week I haven't seen them and they are also not searching for me, so I assumed they must be dead", the boy replied in a cold voice.

Man replies implying ,"Maybe they left you!"

Boy replies,"Can they leave me?."

Man raising his brows,"Why not, they must thought you were burden, so there is a possibility."

Boy looking down to his hands and his shirt stained with blood,"They can't do this to me, never."

Man smiles and puts his hands on boy's shoulder and says," Go to bhairavgad fort and ask for Kanwar Jai Singh, he'll adopt you and you need not call yourself orphan from today onwards."

Boy looks at his face and asks,"Who is he?"

Man replies,"He own this place and village and is the current ruler now."

Boy in stern voice,"Just because you said, will he adopt me?"

Man replies, "The most precious thing to me is my life and you my boy have saved this precious life of mine, so there's no reason he would decline."

Boy quickly responds, "How can you be so confident?"

Man little irritatedly replies, "Son, cause I am Kanwar Jai Singh, now do you doubt I will not adopt you."

Boy smiles, "I wouldn't now."

Kanwar Singh commands, "Listen boy u saved my precious life so from now, you become my sheild, I will train you to be the best to protect me. I not only will adopt you as my son but you will be my right hand staying beside me always, now let's sit inside I will take you to Bhairavgad fort."
And they both sat inside while driver sits ahead.

While sitting inside the boy replies, "I think I will accept being your right hand. But something irks me, like if your life is so precious why I cannot become your breath. I saved your life right?"

Driver starts the carriage Kanwar Singh laughs and in serious tone says, "You have guts to say that, so tell me who's your father."

Boy looking at him in his eyes replies, "Kanwar Jai Singh."

Kanwar Jai Singh laughs placing his hand on his chest then opens the peeping window of carriage and informs, "Joshi did you hear what this boy said."

Driver/Joshi replies, "Yes hukum, I heard as he was loud to answer your question."

Kanwar Singh closes the peeping window and looking towards the boy asks, "What is your name?"

The boy looks outside the carriage window, while the carriage is passing through he looks at the dead body of the man lying on the ground surrounded by people and says, "My name is Rudra."
