As Rudra stepped in the door he saw Sati seated in front of Dadisa with her back facing him. Rati was on the left side of Sati making her eat.Rati turns her face narrowing her eyes with a scrunched her nose mouths 'What are you doing here now?."
Rudra raises his right eye walking towards Dadisa standing beside Dadisa's sofa.
He steals a look at Sati's body from toe to her neck to see her arm bandaged. He moves his eyes up to see stains of tears while her eyes had a fierce look.
Dadisa turns her body and face in direction of Rudra, "You promised me something Rudra?"
Rudra with a straight face, "And I full filled it by protecting her and bringing her back safely."
Dadisa grabs the armrest making a fist angrily raises her voice, "Do you find my words funny Rudra?."
Dadisa composes turning her eyes towards Sati and Rati instructing, "You both rest up to your rooms. Rati make sure if Sati needs anything."
Rati nods, hastily stands up followed by Sati then exiting the room. Dadisa now gives her full attention to Rudra.
Rudra states in a calm way, "No I don't find your words funny. And due to my negligence she was abducted. But I promise you this with my life that, she will be miles and miles away from her death the protection I will give her from today."
Dadisa raising her both brows, "You are bold to make such a promise Rudra!."
Rudra doesn't utters a word with his eyes intact into Dadisa's.
Dadisa releases her hand from armrest, "Sati told me what had happened back there."
Rudra answers, "I informed Hukum also about it."
Dadisa closes her eyes then taking a deep breath speaks, "What are you implying with you protecting Sati with your life? I mean what intention do you have?."
Rudra without batting his eyes answers, "I mean my loyalty is with this place, which will never ever change. You know I am protecting her but even after I gave you my word of not putting her in harms way, I did put her in harm. So I am now gaining your trust by promising her safety with my life."
She smirks, "This better be the explanation Rudra. You know whom she belongs ...."
Rudra cuts, "Shiv Singh."
Dadisa scrunches her nose, "Good you remember it well. Now before you leave what did you mean by your loyalty to this place?."
Rudra evilly smiles, "It means that my loyalty is with this place and this place is you people. What another meaning could I possibly have."
Dadisa snaps, "I am already late for the sleep tonight. Leave before my headache gets worst with your twisted words."
Rudra bows walking out closing the door behind, then releasing a deep air from his mouth with his chest moving in and his right hand on his left side of chest.
Rudra bends down grabbing both his apples walking past Sati's door but stops instantly turning and knocking the next moment.
Seconds later the door opened making Sati peep with half face visible making Rudra tilt his head, "Guess you knew I would knock your door!."
Sati rolls her eyes, "Meet me in 10 at the top."
Rudra nods then bites on his apple stepping down.
Exactly 10 minutes had passed Rudra reached on the top to see the moon and stars were spread across the sky beautifully. He saw Sati's silhouette and approached towards her at few feet's distance.
She snaps her face turning her body towards Rudra, "You gave them the chance to kidnap me and leave a scar on my body."
She pauses and before Rudra could respond she snaps back, "Before you speak let me finish. I warned you both about leaving a scar on my body. But you both failed and leaving a shitty bullet scar on my body."
She breathes heavily, "I am not stepping out of Bhairavgad till Rati is wed, on condition that you train me every night here with hand to hand combat..."
Rudra intervenes, "But whom you need to fight with to learn..."
Sati through her gritty teeth, "You had to just damn interrupt in between, despite me saying you to let me complete."
She huffs again, "I met two people before you rescued me. They said said something about them being part of the royal family and that had something to do with my grandfather. My father was helping them to give them their rightful place, but his death had stopped everything."
Rudra clearing his throat, "Are you saying about the Taliwals?."
Sati hmms then continues, "Yes. They said that they were the first cousins of grandfather. And also that grandfather had tricked their father to abandon the royal title and along with it banished them."
Rudra curiously, "So..."
Sati annoyingly, "Stop interrupting. They might attack any moment if they have the chance. I want to the least be prepared to face them and protect myself. And I didn't say this to anyone except you. So seal your mouth with this."
Rudra calmly, "I am there to protect you Sati, even if you stand in the crowd full of people."
Sati ignoring his words, "I can't ask anyone as Babosa won't allow and also will grow suspicious."
Rudra's voice now with a sarcasm, "What makes you think I will betray Hukum?."
Sati crosses both her hand on her chest, "I didn't ask you but told you to train me. So there's no choice for you to say no or think about betraying your so called 'Hukum'. And trust me if you don't show up from tomorrow, I won't mind asking someone else."
Rudra backfires, "Aren't you worried about you staying with me at night to train, will make your heart waver?."
Sati takes a step ahead, "I won't waver for sure. As I said you before, you are nowhere near to my Shiv."
Rudra could sense Sati's warning and also her breath which was feet away but yet he felt as if it was just just inches away. He croaks, "Okay. Shall we start today?."
Sati steps backwards, "Tomorrow. You can retire for tonight."
Sati turns her body to say something before Rudra in a teasing tone, "Did you really ..... I mean... that wet dress was because you couldn't control...."
She turns again to face Rudra who took few steps backwards, "One more reminder. Never ask me about the passages, as I will never let you know."
Rudra nods stretching his both hands back, "I will remember that."
Sati hmms.
Rudra turns back to walk before stopping and declaring, "I never failed Sati. I promised you to keep you safe and yes, in that process you gained an painful scar for that I am really sorry."
He waits for the response but doesn't gets one. He turns back to see Sati was nowhere, he walks down.
Sati was about to close the secret door as she stepped in and heard Rudra's words which were finished. She wanted to respond but stopped herself and after closing the door she mumbles, "What kind of a bodyguard or a man you are who can't even keep up his own words."

Hello,
This chapter was supposed to be one starting from chapter 19 to this one. But made it in few chapters.
This quarantine is really helping me to get back to the thing I love most ie: writing. I wish to update a chapter daily so that I could finish this book and start a new one.
It's 15 days to go till the lockdown lifts up. This book has more 15 chapters to go till all the mystery ends surrounding Sati and giving you all a surprising end.
Love
