Sati's POV
When I woke up, the sun still didn't rise. I rushed to bathroom to freshen up. I was exhausted since last three days with Rati's wedding and Rudra's training at night.
Finally, she is married. When she left yesterday in Rajveerji's car, for the first time I could see genuine tears in Badi Taisa's and Babosa's eyes.
My heart ached to see them so miserable, but as usual I ignored their pain and walked away to my room.
Dadisa after Rati left has instructed me to what to wear and how to behave during my wedding rituals, which Rati had already informed me.
I could sense Dadisa's uneasiness and worrisome face the last three days, I knew the reason well of her behaviour but chose to ignore.
Rudra and Joshi were well prepared and cautious with guests around. When Rudra wasn't around me Babosa had instructed Baldev to keep his eyes on me.
I am sure Bladev and Rudra are together in whatever they are doing. I am showing the blank face to make them believe as I am not suspicious of them.
Everyone around here are hiding everything from me, which they will expose themselves with their true faces and colour just after I get married.
I am not gonna give them the chance to expose themselves as I already know and have well prepared alot for them ahead.
Walking out of bathroom, I wore fade lemon colour ghagra and blouse with matching duppatta with silver laces and gota designes.
I sat beside the dresser pulling out the papers and photographs which were a big revelation of my father's works and people he was surrounded with.
I could just say, except Babosa everyone had two faces. Taking a matchstick I burnt all the papers and evidence which will work against me from today onwards.
Showing Rudra three passages was just a plan, to make him confuse on one hand and making him believe I trusted him. I was confident he would be giving details of the passages to Babosa.
In return I needn't worry that I would have to face any wrong move from Babosa, which was time consuming.
Minutes later all the papers was burned, picking the ashes I threw them in sink washing it down the drain.
Laying back on the bed, tears started to roll down from my eyes to temples.
I needed to be ready before 10 to welcome Rati and Rajveerji for the pag-phera rasam. As a matter of fact I had become lonely after Rati left.
I never made friends except that guy during my stay in Bombay. Here everyone just wanted something out of me, except Rati.
A knock on my door made me wipe my tears and walk towards it. When I opened, I saw Kaalkiji standing in front of me.
"What is it Kaalkiji?."
She was hesitant when she stepped in closing the door behind.
I narrowed my eyes at her, "What is it?."
She was struggling to speak, "Hu.. Hu.. Hukum got attacked today morning while attending the guests from Padminiji's side."
I gasped at the mention of attack, "Were is he now?."
She instantly replies, "He's at the hotel along with Padminiji. Joshi and Baldev left as soon as they heard about it to bring him back."
My throat had become heavy not because Babosa was attacked but Rati's marriage rituals would be interrupted.
